For such a long esplanade walk on the coast for the most part the water is strangely hidden by trees. Seems like better planning is needed

Visited a few times during my recent stay in Hervey. I started my drive at Point Vernon and drove down to Urangan, stopping off to enjoy the views and a walk along the pathway. Plenty to do whatever the time of year.

Much better than I was expecting. Lovely to stop at The Oaks for a bevvy and lovely walk back to Urangan.

Walk from Point Vernon to Urangan Pier. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. Water stops along the way to keep the doggies hydrated. Great way to get your steps up

The Esplanade is a terrific place to wander the day away or take to your pushbike for a longer journey. The Esplanade is very accessible and flat for easy walking and riding.

The Esplanade goes on forever so do as little or as much as you like especially lovely at sunset. It runs the full length of every suburb.

Thoroughly enjoyed a daily long walk on this gorgeous beach. Shelly beach had lots of shells. Lovely little wharfs. Stunning boat views and sparkling blue waters.

this reminded me of the foreshore of the Gold Coast 40 years ago. Brought back great memories of casual walks on the beach and esplanade. Relaxing and not crowded

Nice relaxing walk along the Esplanade is a must, multiple spots for picnic or the kids to play, toilets spread along entire length great views whilst you walk or drive

We loved every part of it. From the piers, the playgrounds, the many areas to sit and watch the water. The beautiful gardens along the way. The locals should be very proud of this area.

Hi. I am planning to visit in early March 2017, and have been told that the Aquaview cafe/restaurant is a good place for breakfast. Could you therefor advise of its approximate location along the Esplanade. Many thanks, Chris.

hervey bay is not big and doable either with bike, walk or motorized wheel chair
cant really place it in my mind as we did not go there for brekkie, but somehow I think about mid esplanade.......
