What an awesome day out with the whānau. Everyone loved it from the 1yr old to the 60yr old. We went in the rain and that didnt damper the day, it gave us muddy puddles to jump in. The animals and staff were so friendly, and the kids loved being able to feed the animals. Highly recommend a trip to funky farm petting zoo if you're in the area. :)

Nice place. Bigger than I thought it'd be. Lots of entertainment for the kids. Lots of indoor area too Incase the weather turns.
Saw one sheep who had given himself a nasty sore around his neck from leaning through the fence to get food.
Apart from that all the animals looked happy and healthy and my kids had a blast.

We visited on recommendation and enjoyed watching our boys play with outside toys/cubby house and feeding animals. I sat on a lounge in the covered pergola shade feeding my baby. We could pat bunnies and fed the animals. Even the play zone was partially shaded. Kiosk sells animal food $1 and ice creams etc. Even had a toddler sized toilet. Thanks!

To Sam and Chris! Thank you. What you guys have built (are building) is truely an amazing experience. To be able to be so up and close with so many different animals. This is definitely a one of a kind animal encounter. The kids and parents loved it. Anyone who is wanting a unique animal experience, this is where you need to be. Nothing was too much hassle for the team at The Funky Farm. We will be back for sure! Love the fact that all the animals are rescue animals. Australia Zoo with a personal touch on the Mornington Peninsula! Do yourself a favour and book your party here! We have one every happy 6 year old. To quote him “BEST DAY EVER!” We will be back.

The Funky Farm and Toy Library is a wonderful place to take kids to pet farm animals. You can purchase corn at a dollar a cup to feed deer, cows, alpaca, emus, rabbits, goats, sheep, birds of all shapes and sizes and much more. The owners are very accommodating and grabbed a bottle of milk for our small daughter to feed a young goat. She also feed grass to guinea pigs and corn to rabbits. Funky farm put out large baskets of vegetables for you to grab a handful & feed the (expanding) variety of animals on offer. Hand feeding a full grown cattle is an experience not to be missed. They boast a large, well-kept area with plenty of room for expansion and plans to bring in more animals and attractions. Funky farm also have a selection of kids toys to play with at the farm or rent from the library.
