Jestli vás zajímá, jak se vyrábí skleněné korálky a rádi byste tento proces viděli přímo naživo, pak je pro vás návštěva této továrny jako stvořená. A když k tomu přidám příjemnou průvodkyni a možnost si nakoupit v jejich firemním obchodě, je z toho úžasný výlet na celé dopoledne.

Zajímavá exkurze do výroby korálků. Názorné ukázky a velice příjemné vystupování paní průvodkyně. Součástí jsou i dilnicky pro děti, ve kterých si monou vyrobit obrázky ze sklenice drtě nebo navleknout náramek či náhrdelník. V areálu je i podniková prodejna. 💓

My daughterr Lisa and i had a wonderful time exploring w/our private tour guide three (3) bead-making factories in Jablonec. We experienced the process from beginning to end and now have a greater appreciation of how these beautiful little gems are made. The process is still hand-made from long glass tubes through the grinding and shaping processes - each bead hand examined through to the end. Bead creation in this area was once the mainstay of the community 'til the Russians nationalized the process and nearly destroyed the operations. Bealieve it or not, there are only two elderly button manufacturers who still make the glass buttons from this region. They use the original molds and finish them all by hand. Marvelous work! Everyone we met was so friendly and enjoyed our 'ooo's' and 'ahhh's' over their brilliant work. We didn't carry away everything but we sure tried. Fabulous adventure - hope to return some time in the near future.

Although we didnt see the museum (there was only 2 of us and they only open for 5+) we were shown through the factory. Kas explained how the old equipment was used and took us through the process of bead-making. We were then taken to the workrooms. introduced to the girls and watched them working.

I had a great time here last week. Lots of inspiration and masses of good quality glass beads. The staff were extremely helpful and enthusiastic about their products. As I was staying in Prague I travelled to Jablonec 3 times so I could bring lots of beads home with me. Each time I visited there were some fresh ideas on the display table. I will be back next year.

G&B beads is one of the largest manufacturers of high quality Czech glass beads. Located in Jablonec nad Nisou in the picturesque countryside of the Jizera mountains, a visit to G&B beads is a must for all beaders and bead lovers! On the ground floor of the main building is the shop containing an enormous selection of pressed, fire-polished, table cut and other beads, in an inexhaustible range of colors, new shapes, sizes and finishes.
While you are there, take a tour through different departments of G&B beads where you will be shown the production process of Czech glass beads both past and present.
End your visit by taking a workshop to learn current techniques and trends using the new beads and components. Not to be missed!

Bohužel jsme na místo dorazili pozdě, takže jsme neviděli výrobu, ale jen výstavu. Žena z ní byla unešená a já ji musím dát za pravdu, že množství vzorů je opravdu působivé. Každopádně se sem příští rok vrátíme včas abychom mohli absolvovat i exkurzi do výroby.

I had a chance to visit the shop only, but it was a fabulous experience. I love especially czech table cut beads and they are difficult to find. Here they are, in all colors shapes and sizes. Plus many other beads and ready made jewellery too. Very reasonable prices and nice people. A happy place ☺
For not-bead-loving family members this is not the best place, but there is seating available to make waiting bearable.
