The Leon Stukelj Square is located in the modern part of Maribor, in the East of Slovenia. It is a pedestrian square, where there are some restaurants, bars and shops. A nice place to walk, when you go to the old town.

Nella Maribor moderna una piazza che non ha anima e che non capisco neanche perché debba rientrare tra le attrazioni di questa città che ha senz'altro molto altro da offrire di più interessante. Qualcuno scrive che è la più ampia piazza della Slovenia, sarà anche ma non basta per suscitare interesse.

E' la piazza più grande della Slovenia (9000 mq), inaugurata nel 2011 ed intitolata a Leon Stukeli, avvocato e medaglia d'oro alle Olimpiadi. Intorno ci sono tutti edifici moderni, tra i quali la sede di un quotidiano. Moderna e non di elevato interesse turistico.

Maribor's main square where all the big parties take place but it's deserted for the most parts of the year as there is nothing there to do.

This square wants to be important modern part of the city with modern palaces and place for gatherings in the middle. It is not. Square has some interesting design solutions but no special popular meeting point or monument or a fountains a part of the city. Buildings around are without soul.
