on arrival there is no signed out side with any admission prices . There are no signs to say how this place accepts payment so we entered the venue and walked down 3 flights of stairs around a coridoor before finding the main entrance where only at this point did it say the admission was 5000ft each and it was cash only.
after 3 days already in Budapest I'd not come across another venue or attraction that did not accept cards for payment (except toilets) so I was surprised at the lack of payment facilities.
I hunted through my bag to see what change I could muster up as there was 2 of us and I had 9800. 200ft short, (40p) I offered the guy on the til the 9800 (in a couple of years it would have been 9000 anyway for the senior citizen discount) and he gave it me back saying there was not enough and to go away until I had enough money.
I was not about to go to a cashpoint to withdraw 40p just to enter this place so we turned and walked back out of here and back outside where we headed to the hospital museum and paid 18,000ft on my card to gain entry.
Later as we walked past we also noticed a group of 6 women talking to a group of guys who was also leaving because they had no cash on them. Looks like they lost at least 10 customers this day!!!!!!!
terrible service

Very nice experience, the "labyrinth" (where it is really hard to get lost) is littered with statues and scenes with very disturbing mannequins. Lots of historical information about its use (also about the 14 years of imprisonment of Vlad Tepes - Dracula) and very funny parts such as one completely in the dark and another, the one on Dracula, full of smoke. It's definitely more fun for kids. Human price

I recently visited Labirintus in Budapest, and it was an exhilarating experience! This historical labyrinth under Castle Hill is not only fun but also spooky, especially in one section that is pitch black—don’t worry, you get a warning before entering! The cool signage on the walls tells fascinating stories in both English and Hungarian (or Magyar, as it's called), adding depth to the adventure.
It’s easy to miss, but I highly recommend making the effort to find it. I really don’t understand the bad or mixed reviews; this was one of the most fun things we did in Budapest! The atmosphere is unique, and exploring the labyrinth while learning about the history of Count Dracula (Vlad Tepes) makes for an unforgettable outing. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something different!

I state, I waited twenty minutes standing waiting for someone of the staff to go to the ticket office, after that I could not make the visit because you could only pay in cash (and already here, it bothers me a lot), I ask if it is possible to pay in euros, the man said yes but tells me to pay 24 euros, which I correct him by telling him that for the current exchange it should have been 22.50.
I surrender to the fact that I have to pay 24 euros, but the guy even dares to tell me that he does not have change.
Needless to say, I turned my heels.

Very nice place, cool and humid; the low temperature cools you down (or freezes, depends) with the heat outside.
I can say that it is not suitable for small children, because I was afraid too.
Some flaws are:
1. Where there was fog you couldn't see anything.
2. The near absence of descriptions.
3. There were no "statues" of Vlad.
But it's a nice experience.

The information on this place points to it being a historical site of interest, so that's what we thought we'd be visiting and that there would be more information on the caves' history.
What the place is instead is dimly lit with random, unrelated statues, artefacts and unexplained wax models, eerie music, fog filled chambers and dead ends, seemingly designed to spook and scare.
The signage is poor, making it hard to negotiate and find the exit, all adding to the scariness.
If you're into eerie and spooky, this is a 5 out 5 experience, but if you go with the notion of learning about the caves, then don't bother.

It was definitely an interesting experience. I am not sure I like walking around in the dark as much as I thought I would. I brought a flashlight, but the person at the gate got mad at me for using it.
It was wet and the ground was often puddled and rough. It was memorable, but definitely a tourist trap. You don't see the Dracula part until the very end.
I think it would have been better if I had a way to exit sooner. It was way too long for my taste. My husband did enjoy it more than I did. He does not have as much trouble with cold, wet and dark spaces like I do.

Could be fun to do with a group of friends, but not at all worth the price (15 euros). It's like your grandparents' basement but bigger and creepier.

For dungeon lovers and people with imagination this place is a delight
I felt like I was in a computer game and I just enjoyed getting lost in this dark maze
The section of the maze in complete darkness is a great experience for those who do not open a flashlight on their phone

An amazing adventure through out a bizarre place. Imagine to keep 10 years in prison there! Vlad Tepes was there under the rules of Matei Corvin for 1 years.
Must see.
