By law you shouldn't pay more than 280 forint/km.. use Taxify app.. you'll know your exact fare ahead of time, you can use your credit card safely, you know the the driver's name and his car's number, you'll get an email with a receipt.. they can't screw with you.. street cabs will rip you off.. they will either use fake meters or not use one at all or drive you around in circles.. then ask you to pay triple the price.. also always watch for the change the driver gives you.. a lot of times they give you Indonesian rupee.. they look similar to Hungarian forint.. a widely used scam in Hungary.

We travelled from the city centre on public buses. We got the number 16 bus to Szell Kalman Ter and then picked up the 155 to Bela Kiraly Ut. Then it's just a short walk up the hill - enjoy! :)
