Visited this location as part of a hop on hop off tour. We visited at the end of the day and initially staff were a little cold but agreed to a wine tasting but apologised for any rush due to the impending closure.
In the event the British lady conducting was anything but rushed providing what I would consider a thorough explanation of what we were tasting in a personable and understandable way.
Thank you I was going to miss out on this one but pleased I didn’t. Would definitely go back.

Great wine and a wonderful restaurant. Undoubtable the best views found anywhere on Weiheke so worth a visit if only for that.

Great walk in visit for a cellar door tasting.
Adele was amazing and gave some great insights into the wines we were trying.
Bought some bottles and then had a look at the epic views from the vineyard.

I usually always take friends who are visiting Auckland to Batch winery but I won’t be back. Very expensive and no table service. The manager was quite dismissive and we had to prompt loads of times to get plates cleared and water brought to the table. Also had to carry our own wine to the table as they didn’t bring it outside? Strange. Anyway- wouldn’t recommend to others and won’t return again

Lovely location but very disappointed with the restaurant. We wanted to try some wine tasting, have some food and sit somewhere nice. We entered the restaurant and asked if we were eating. We said yes. We were sat in a beautiful corner table with stunning views. The menu was basic but we decided to opt for oysters and crusty bread. We asked for the wine tasting menu and were told that you cannot have a wine tasting menu whilst sat where we had been sat. So we were moved to a square wooden table in the middle of the room with hard metal stools. The restaurant was empty I must add - but we were told we could not sit there unless we ordered food off the menu and wine off the full price list (no tasting menu). We were not comfortable where we had been placed so asked if we could sit outside (plenty of space and empty tables) we were told no. We had to sit where we had been placed. The rigidity of the seating was really demoralising. On leaving I explained to the front of house staff why we were not staying and her response was they are short staffed so wine sampling has to be where we were placed. This was around 5 metres from the nice corner seating with no one else in the restaurant. I asked her if she has ever sat on one of the hard metal stools, she said yes she has, I told her they are very uncomfortable and I would like her to note my complaints. It was very obvious that this vineyard only wanted those who were prepared to order a bottle of wine could sit where we were first placed. The restaurant was less than 10% full yet they could not accommodate, it was a flat refusal. Very poor service and poor organisation. If this vineyard and thought more out of the box and worked on their customer service I imagine it would be a lovely location to visit. But for us, I would advise anyone to avoid unless you are just heading up there for the views.

We understand that the atmosphere and seating arrangements play a big role in creating an enjoyable dining experience, and we apologise if we fell short in this area during your visit.
Our team strives to accommodate every guest’s preferences as best as possible, but we do have our wine tastings separate to the full dining menu - this is to avoid us interrupting your meals and to make it easier for staff who may be taking care of multiple tasting tables at one time (which is often the case for us). That said, we always want our guests to feel comfortable and welcome, and we’d love to have the opportunity to improve your experience next time.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly when making a reservation, and we’ll do our best to accommodate any seating requests. We truly value your feedback and would love to have the chance to serve you again in the future.

Called here in the afternoon while exploring Waiheke on the hop on hop off bus service.
We only had a short time available so we elected to try their deserts - mainly pavlova - and chose a rose to drink with it.
All were very tasty and the waitress very polite.
With more time I would think it would be great to have a full meal here.
Must add the scenery from the winery ia also worth the visit and on a clear day you can see Aukland in the distance.

Lovely place but one of the cheeses on the cheeseboard was definitely past 'best before' date - tasted mouldy. The chef just argued that was how it tastes - not really good enough for $80. Shame.

Though we only found two of the tasters to our personal liking (the Rose and the Pinot Gris) , the flights were good value compared to others on the island. Traditional was $15 and Legacy was $25

What a spectacular experience. The wine, the food and the view were all top tier. The Merlot Malbec blend was delightful. The food was fabulous, prepared by Merino. He was lovely to speak to about the winery and the food.

It was outstanding food with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The views were wonderful too. Definitely worth going
