There are lots of local hotels, no doubt, very expensive as you can imagine, being the capital. Most, if not all people usually drive in, park up and walk. The chronology then continues at the small end of the left hand side of The Wall until it ends in 1975. The designer wanted the beginning and the end to meet representing the full circle of the War. It doesn't matter where you start or end on the Wall unless chronological order helps you locate a particular name you are looking for. There is a database to look up a name but in the military many are known best by their "call signs" or nicknames so the database with official names doesn't help but following the chronology does.
