This is a fun little food hall in a nice, walkable neighborhood. Everything from Dosas and Empanadas to Deli and Cupcakes. They were having a Holi celebration outside when we were there, so that was fun to watch. This is a great neighborhood. There is another delicious food hall with Latin flair on 4th street (Cosecha) and other restaurants and a handful of shops.

Been to DC several times and hadn’t been here so we tried it for lunch. So many food vendors of all types that we basically stopped at several places and shared many different things. Plenty of seating outside. It was fun to walk around that area and see other places as well.

Foodcourt très sympa. Le batiment est assez commun de l'extérieur, mais à l'intérieur vous trouverez tout un tas de stands différents pour manger. Nous avons mangé un très bon sandwich oeuf fromage bacon à On Toast.

i thought the union market was amazing when I was there I was a bit shy about being in dc but it all turned out really well

Excellent food market. So many different and diverse food stalls. We were staying locally for a week and visited here twice as it was so good. Loads of seating and great atmosphere.

Stopped into the market for a few drinks with an old friend. The market itself is vibrant and has lots of offerings for food and drink. We were only able to sample a few bites from a couple of the locations (didn’t want to overdo and spoil dinner later) but they were all very good. The drinks were good and the location clean and ran well (we had some drinks at Bidwell).
The immediate area of the market is very obviously in the process of gentrification and being massively built up for more higher end residents. However, the area from the metro stop to the market is still pretty sketchy. If you are driving, it’s a great place to check out. If coming from the metro, it is very likely to be safe, but be aware of your surroundings as you walk.

Choices, options, clean, diverse, outdoors! Dozens of vendors from bagels, sweets, banh min, Asian, fresh, caffeine..and more. Great location and lots of outdoor seating.

We popped over to Union Market from the Homewood Suites to pick up a late lunch. They had so many appealing options it was hard to choose. I especially appreciated the young woman working at Son of a Fish who was very helpful suggesting an alternative for my 7 year old since they were out of her first choice. Would definitely visit again.

We went to Puddin and Som Tam around 3-4pm, which is normally nonpeak hours for food but it was actually pretty busy--we did go on a Friday. Puddin has a great shrimp po boy and Som Tam had multiple options--we got the refreshing larb salad and papaya salad. Walked up to the rooftop area just to see it and I'd imagine it would be great on a weekend afternoon or summer night.

Kind of food court with several places to choose. Meat and Seafood market to purchase is inside the place also. I would say is a nice place to spend 1-2 hrs, have breakfast and enjoy the environment . You can eat in and out the Market. Meat Market: I found the meat pricy but very well cut and presented.

As far as I remember, it's mostly food vendors. You can eat at some of them and there's a very nice sit down restaurant at one end.

The market is on a slight grade, but nothing strenuous. I usually walk over from the nearest Metro and have never noticed the grade, as it is so gradual.

Planning a dc visit and curious - is this a collection of shops, restaurants, etc, sort of like a farmers market, or is it like one restaurant? Sounds cool, just unsure exactly what it is.

It is like a farmers market. I would think though its more food vendors are here. There is a stall for produce, seafood, and meats, but you can 100 percent eat here.

Quisiera saber concretamente los días y los horarios de las visitas guiadas, así como la duración de dicho tour. Estoy acomodando mi itinerario pero lastimosamente llegaría a Washington el jueves a la 1pm, y me retiraría lunes también a la 1pm (o sea, creo que la única oportunidad que tendría para visitarlo sería jueves o lunes, pero obviamente ello dependería del horario en que empieza y termina la jornada de visitas. Igualmente deseo saber si de casualidad alguna de las visitas es dada para hispanohablantes.
