Hi. Let me answer your questions one by one. 1) Will October be too cold for an evening tour? Not at all. If it is a cooler evening, we will carry a blanket for our guests. You should probably have a jacket with you. We do lots of evening tours in October. 2) We get pretty close to the monuments and give our guests a tour presentation. However, we generally stay back with the pedicab while our guests go inside to explore. We get closer on the pedicab than any bus or motor vehicle can get. 3) Sunday evenings usually have lighter traffic than Monday evenings. A good time to start an evening tour in October might be around 6:30 PM. I hope I have answered some of your questions. Feel free to call at any time if you have more questions.

Hi. This is Robert, the owner of Nonpartisan Pedicab. I always say 2-4 hours. There is a range of time because at each monument you have an opportunity to get out and go inside to explore and take photos. Some people skip some memorials or take short visits to each, and they tend to be on the lower side of the time frame. Other people take their time at each memorial and tend towards the upper end of the time frame. We can either go at your own pace during the tour or else we can keep you to a time frame of your choosing. We have plenty of guests who want to keep the tour to 1.5 hours or 2 hours. And we also have plenty of guests who go at a leisurely pace and take 3-4 hours or even more. The tour is always personalized to what you want to see and your own time frame.

I would take you to the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Washington Monument, the FDR Memorial, the MLK Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, the WWII Memorial and by the White House. You will have an opportunity to get out of the pedicab at each location to go inside for photos or to explore. Hi. We have certainly done this before. And, we would certainly be willing to help you with the transfer. We have even had guests on board who have been entirely unable to help with their own movement. That being said, to some degree it depends on how many people there are to help with moving your father. And, also, it depends on how comfortable your father would be with the hands-on physical help of the tour guide.

Hi Veronique. This is Robert, the owner of Nonpartisan Pedicab. July 4 is a special day in Washington DC. There are large crowds and many streets are closed. Normally, Pedicabs have a great deal of access to all the closed areas, but last year that access was partially restricted on the whim of a single mid-level police officer who disregarded pleas from the National Park Service and a special permit that we have from them. So, I am not able to guarantee service on July 4. I would be happy to attempt to make the booking for you, so long as you are ready to accept the possibility that the tour may be impossible to do that day and that I will not know for sure until July 4th itself.
