The West Orange trail ride is as long as you want it to be. We started at Clarcona rd up to winter garden. Very nice trail.

The western portion through Oakland, Tildenville, and Winter Garden are my favorite part because it has a variety of neighborhoods, a lot of shade since much of it is tree lined but it gets busy on weekends with pedestrians and roller blazers. The trail is wide, well paved, and smooth. My favorite trailhead is Chaplin Station east of Winter Park. It has all you need plus a beautifully maintained memorial garden for resting if you decide to ride the full length of the trail. The Oakland Trailhead just received a huge upgrade: a brand new visitor center with very clean bathrooms!

I've ridden this trail twice during our visit to Winter Garden. The trail is nice and wide and very safe. It's almost totally off-road and would be great for families with kids. For the most part, the trail is pretty flat, with only a few small hills. Starting at the Kilarney Station, it's a nice five-mile ride into Winter Garden, where one can get cold drinks or stop for lunch. I have my own bike and equipment, so did not need to rent anything, but the bike rental shop at Kilarney looked to be well-equipped and staffed by friendly personnel. The trail travels through some nice neighborhood, past a nature park and hiking trail. One can ride much further, up to 22 miles, I believe.

Looking forward to this trail given all of the positive reviews. Our experience was decidedly less positive. Starting out from Killarney Station the first couple of miles were promising. The trail weaved through the woods with a two lane back road intermittently alongside. Then, we hit the explosion of subdivisions in Lake County. The trail was bisected continuously by subdivision roads and we were now riding directly alongside a divided four lane highway. Given all this newly generated traffic, it was not a complete surprise that we witnessed a over the top speed trap by Lake County sheriff deputies. So much for bucolic.

We parked at Kilarney Station, rented a bike, and cycled this paved trail through lovely residential areas, scenic Winter Garden, and on to the Luca Trail that brings you to Newton Park at Lake Apopka where you can walk the pier and, if lucky, watch the crafty alligator stalk birds. There are washrooms there, and lovely restaurants of all kinds in Winter Garden. Visit the Train Museum.

We rented some bikes with some friends, and did about an 11 mile ride along the orange trail. Very nice, easy ride, with really no hills or steep grades. Lots of people seem to use the trail for biking, walking, or jogging, but we had no problems with any of them. The trail seems to be well taken care of, and we really enjoyed being on it. Great little thing to do to wind down.

We rode our bikes from Killarney Station to Winter garden and back, about 10 miles. Nicely paved with an old railroad bridge going over the interstate. Mile markers begin at Killarney and are posted every 10th of a mile in the asphalt. In addition to restrooms, playground and picnic areas, there’s a bike shop with rental bikes at Killarney Station. Winter Garden was a nice stop for lunch as the trail goes right through the center of town accessing lots of restaurants. This section of the trail was relatively flat with some gradual grades and rolled thru residential areas and past a nature preserve. We rode on a Sunday and the parking lot was full and trail very busy.
Note: there is also a second trail that heads west from Killarney Station, the South Lake Trail which I think is more difficult.

West Orange trail is a great place for a bike ride or walk. The path is paved, wide, and in great condition. There are really only a couple places where you need to cross a road of any size and the crossing are really well marked. You feel like you are miles away from the busy city life.

If your looking for something to take up a day the west orange day is a lovely day out. You can start at Killarney station and it finishes 22 miles later up past the last station Apopka station. It’s a lovely cycle path mostly flat, with lots of beautiful scenery to take in along the way. You pass through Winter Garden and you can stop for lunch. It’s cheaper to hire bike for full day rather that by the hour.

what is the mileage one way from Ingraham station to the end of West Lake Mineola trail?
I want to start the West Orange trail from Apopka. What is the address, so I'll know where to start?

The actual trail end in Apopka is at the intersection of Rock Springs Road and Welch Road.
But Apopka Station (111 S Forest AV
Apopka, FL 32703) is probably a better start point to reference. It's equipped with parking, restrooms, water, playground, and picnic facilities.
