Great education and informed rehabbers. They do not charge but gently request a 5 dollar donation. Lots of birds to see and they release so many that they rehab.

We went with our daughter thinking it would be a quick visit, but we ended up spending close to 3 hours there. The volunteers were so knowledgeable about all the birds and answered all our questions. It was very windy the day we visited so there were no flight demonstrations, but it was still awesome to see all these amazing birds so close. Many of the birds cannot be released back into the wild due to injuries or other issues. I would definitely recommend a trip here!

Carol, the owner and caretaker of ARC, invites teens and adults to become caretakers of the bird sanctuary. This is a great learning tool for those interested in becoming a vet or just interested in birding. Local schools are also welcome to visit ARC as well as Carol and staff coming to schools and demonstrating the bird predators such as owls and eagles. ARC is open once a week and at times have special events.

This is Sat. March 9, 2019. Went here on a bus day trip with 30 other seniors for our church that we attend during our 4 month winter stay. This location is well out in the rural area west of Orlando. We don't know exactly how many raptors (birds of prey) that are being taken care of here but we had a two hour presentation and demonstration of about 20 different birds such as hawks, eagles and owls. From a tiny cute little owl to large bald eagles and every size hawk in between. The staff is very knowledgeable and took their time to talk to us and to answer any question we might have had. We certainly learned a lot. The folks here rely on donations and we certainly support this.

This is a nice up close encounter with birds of prey. The birds they have out cannot survive on their own. The volunteers handle the birds and tell you the birds stories, they each have one of how they came to be there. The ones that are able to be rehabbed they do not bring out to the public. (Note: this is not some big park your going to spend hours at.)

This is more of a rehabilitation center and less of an attraction. When we went here they were having a special event and giving demonstrations. The staff seems to care a lot about the birds and their welfare.

The Avian Reconditioning Center is a volunteer organization dedicated to helping birds of prey get back into the wild. They are open on Saturday's only.
Seeing some of Florida birds up close was enlightening and inspiring. The Animals they display have been injured and cannot live in the wild. The animals that can go back, are not around humans. This is not an attraction per se, but a wonderful opportunity to see and learn about some of Florida's Raptors up close. The staff was friendly, and answered questions, the birds were treated very well. Really enjoyed spending a couple hours here. A special place.

They have a great variety of birds in different stages of getting heal and others just that you can enjoy wild life birds of all kinds.

I admire the volunteers, and most of the staff are volunteers. The center is well maintained, the staff are all knowledgeable. I found an appreciation and education in close up view of the birds. They had many types of birds, including water and wading birds, and birds of prey.

Seeing the birds up close and personal is amazing. The staff/volunteers is knowledgeable and loves what they do. The birds of prey are my favorites!
