Fantastic place, wind, water, people, staff, gear, instruction. Came for a medical mission (Medkite.org) / kiteboarding trip. Everything was great. I was an intermediate rider but with just a few tips from Mike got a lot better really quick. Also Nuno and Homer are great and can and will help with anything. The waterfall tour and bio-light boat ride were amazing

Mike and the Sweet Spot team made our trip to Guanaja because they were such excellent hosts and superior instructors. We specifically selected Sweet Spot because Mike is a well know instructor with regular kiting camps, and I’m a beginner who needed a lot of instruction!
Nuno (a.k.a Jefferson) was my main instructor, and I found him to be extremely patient and always polite, which I imagine could be tough when teaching people new to the sport. They have a very professional setup based out of Graham’s, and I loved that once I was ready to ride on my own, they gave me a helmet with a radio built in, a life jacket, and Jefferson followed me close enough for comfort in the boat. They clearly have worked out a great system to get people comfortable and capable of riding on their own.
Mike, Nuno, and Homer went above and beyond every chance they could. Hung out and chatted after hours, took us on a beautiful hike through the jungle to some waterfalls, helped us arrange scuba diving. It was the most personalized and professional experience I’ve had on any vacation, and I have been raving about it ever since I left!

I spent almost 3 weeks at the sweet spot in June/July. Wind everyday, if we wanted we could have kited every day. Possibly one of the best places I have ever kite boarded and I have been to a lot.
Perfect for beginners through to advanced. Plenty of space to ride and a variety of conditions. Incredibly friendly staff. Jefferson, Mike and Virginia are great hosts and make you feel like you are royalty. The kiteboarding service is top notch with boat rescue if needed.
If you are looking to learn to kite, already kite or just want to get away for a break on a paradise island this is the place.
We will be back 100%

My girlfriend and I just returned from Sweet Spot where Mike and his staff couldn't have taken better care of us. We were on the island for 7 days and had excellent wind every day. I didn't bring my own gear but rode mostly on the 10, 8, or 7. The later in the afternoon you ride, the smaller you'll want to go. I am an experienced rider and my girlfriend was just learning to ride. Mike helped me advance my riding while his assistant, Jefferson, taught my girlfriend to ride from scratch. Mike and Jefferson are both outstanding, patient instructors with a knack for providing the right cue at the right time. Their customer service is unparalleled. You won't even pump up your kite while they're around. Mike is always accessible, even off the water, to ensure that your stay on the island is as enjoyable as possible. He arranged for my girlfriend and I to go SCUBA diving with a local divemaster and took us on a guided tour of a waterfall on the main island. Mike's lived quite an interesting life and you'll enjoy his stories during the evenings at the bar. Considering the quality of instruction and service you receive, his rates are more reasonable than anything you're likely to receive in the continental U.S. Great place to learn to kite or advance your riding. You will also meet Homer, a local legend...

Just got back from my second trip to the Sweet Spot for a kiting trip and it was fantastic - and we didn't even kite! One of our group must have offended the wind gods as we got two consecutive light wind days which never happens over there! But in the end none of us minded (and we do love to kite) as we got the opportunity to experience all the other activities that Mike at Sweet Spot offers which we probably wouldn't have done otherwise. From trekking through the jungle to a secluded waterfall, to fishing, to wake boarding on what looked like glass, to checking out the local city which is on stilts to one of the most amazing bio-luminescent experiences you could imagine, and much more. Top that off with the unbelievable surrounds of Grahams Island, great accommodation and service and we are already planning our third return trip. Great value for money and cannot recommend the Sweet Spot highly enough. Kudo's to Mike and his team.

Awesome trip for a long weekend. Mike really took care of you on and off the water. I'm a beginner and Mike was an excellent coach during my lessons. Looking to make it at least an annual trip.

Had a fantastic long weekend kiting with the Sweetspot in Honduras. Excellent service from Mike and Virginia, all I had to do was ride and take in the view. Will be back again for sure.

I am thinking of one week of 3-dive days. 15 dives plus two night dives.
