Whilst on holiday, my husband and I decided to visit this place but I was too upset and traumatised to visit the actual bridge itself as there were so many stray dogs and puppies around the car park area. It was heartbreaking to see them all so emaciated and desperate for food and water. A really lovely guy named Oumesh turned up and started feeding and pouring water for them in plastic containers. I asked how could I help to support him and was told that there are a small group of people that pool their own money together to buy and cook food as well as provide fresh water for these dogs. I just can’t believe that no other rescue centre on the island are aware of the dire situation of these starving dogs in this area or willing to help them!! What’s worse is that this team of people paid for some metal containers for the dogs to drink from… only to find on their return that they had all been stolen!!! What kind of people would steal from starving dogs?!!! On my return to the UK I will be asking friends and family to contribute on a regular basis to help this group of amazing people. Ein tolles Erlebnis! Die Fahrt dorthin allerdings ein Highlight in Schrittgeschwindigkeit :D Lohnt sich aber.

Wir sind mit unserem Mietauto selbst hin gefahren. Diese Erfahrung alleine ist schon einen Ausflug wert. Ungefähr 3km unbefestigte Straße mitten durch Zuckerrohrfelder waren für unser Auto eine Herausforderung aber dieses Naturschauspiel ist die Reise wert!
Wir waren ganz alleine dort und haben den Ausblick genossen. Ein wunderschöner Platz auf Mauritius!

Die ungeheure Wucht der Wellen hat wunderschöne Felsformationen und ein Blow-Hole geschaffen. Wunderschön. BITTE HUNDEFUTTER MITBRINGEN- gerade dort sind mehrere halbverhungerte Strassenhunde, die kaum fütternde Touristen sehen.

L'accès est vraiment pas génial. Routes très cabossées et ensuite pistes. Routes à travers de champs de cannes à sucre. Vous vous demandez ou vous allez atterrir. Petit parking.
Une fois sur place, effectivement c'est assez incroyable. Beau panorama.
Mais accès vraiment difficile. A faire avec une bonne voiture et bien avant la tombée de la nuit.
Sur place des chiens errants gentils. Mais on se demande comment ils survivent, c'est au milieu de nul part sans vie humaine.
Ne pas y aller que pour ce site, mais si vous etes de passage.

What a drive,, Good job we had Google Maps,,,, And a HIRE CAR ! just don't rush
Anyway it is worth the bone shaker road After the mild seas in the North west, And the windy ones in other places, This is extreme.
If you are nimble there are some fantastic photo opportunities to be had, Like standing on top of the arch, to be photographed.
I would lock the kids in the car if i had any, The edge can be very dangerous, Not crumbly just very up and down. Plus if you are dodgy on your feet,,, Not really advisable.
We had some superb pics, so well happy

Sur un retour d’excursion nous nous sommes arrêtés pour voir ce pont. Effectivement les 3/4 derniers km sont un peu longs si on a pas de 4x4 mais ça passe : nous avions un petit pot de yaourt en guise de voiture.
Y aller le soir et voir la luminosité tomber est top.
Ne pas prévoir une journée complète mais seulement un arrêt sur un trajet (en revenant de Blue Bay par exemple)

Dit is echt de verborgen parel van Mauritius! De laatste kilometers naar Pont Naturel is een onverharde weg vol kuilen, je rijdt hier misschien max. 10 km/u, waardoor het een lang stuk is. Maar het is het absoluut waard. Bij Pont Naturel zie je het geweld van de oceaan tegen de hoge rotsen, echt super indrukweekend! Er komen weinig toeristen, dus je kunt hier echt eventjes genieten van de natuur. Zorg dat je een camera mee hebt, leuke plaatjes gegarandeerd.

The road to this destination is very bad but once you reach the spot, it is totally worth it!

Would be a little tricky if you cannot walk over uneven terrain. If everyone is in good walking health and steady on their feet then you should be OK but beware the drive!
