Небольшой музей (всего 4 маленьких зала), который нужно посетить, если вы хотите узнать вкратце о некоторых моментах культуры племён и народов, населяющих Судан. Тут представлены экспонаты от средневековья до наших дней, вещи, которые вы можете и не увидеть, просто совершая вояж по стране и её достопримечательностям. Есть вещи очень интересные.
Местами витрины пыльноватые... но ведь пустыня рядом где-то.
Зимой 2020г. двери были заколочены - то ли ремонт, то ли защита на время волнений в стране...

I choose to add this small museum to my Khartoum day tour, most museums are closed in Sudan on a Monday, Real Sudan made sure to help me plan my itinerary so I missed the Monday in Khartoum and hit the friday to watch the wrestling,
This museum contains a small but fascinating collection of tribal artefacts from across Sudan. Displays are ordered by geographic region and illustrate how people adapt to each climatic area. It begins with the tropics of (what is now) South Sudan followed by the savannah regions south of Khartoum, finishing up with the deserts of the north.

Non è certo un museo noto e pubblicizzato , per trovarlo ho chiesto al mio interprete di informarsi su i musei della città è così ne è venuto a conoscenza portandomici . E' molto modesto ma merita la visita perche è moderno , ben strutturato con i reperti molto ben esposti in grado di dare un'idea di come vivono e di cosa vivono i numerosi gruppi etnici e tribali del Sudan del sud , diverso da quello del Nord , della loro cultura ,dei loro ornamenti, gioielli e artigianato . Si possono fotografare i reperti con il permesso rilasciato da un ufficio di Khartoum.data inserita per pubblicare.

The museum is small, but you at least get an idea of how the different groups used to live from the exhibits.

I spent most of an hour here viewing the exhibits. Although not particularly interested in the minutiae of tribal lives there was enough of general interest.
Labelling was terrible however. It’s sparse and often placed at ground level, so crouching is a must.
The most puzzling exhibit was a drum in the shape of an ox. I thought it was used for grain storage, but no! Chiefs used it as a drum to communicate with people. Wandering the grounds, I discovered other artefacts. See pics.

Despite its tiny size the museum is worth a visit. Especially interesting the items from South Sudan in the first room and jewlery from Darfur. As a suggestion the translation cards could also add the estimated age of the artcraft.

easy to go there by public bus and car or taxi,the guest will find all history of about the people lived in Sudan, better to have a tour guide to explain more.

Dette museums bedste oplevelse var de forskellige tableauer med nomadefolk, kvæg og andet. Det viser de forskellige kulturer der ernogbhar været omkring Nilen. Savnede dog at museet have en guidebog og andet om dets samlinger. Men der fandtes intet.
