This market is just a couple of hundred meters away from Mbabane bus rank. It provides a sharp contrast to the nearby modern shopping complex that increasingly look the same all over Southern Africa. The more conventional market consists of several halls. Each section of the market has its specialism. I found the traditional medicine hall the most interesting. But of course the vegetable and fruit sections and handicrafts hall are wonderful as well.
There is a small restaurant area where you can get simple meals prepared with care. Prices are around 25 Rand per meal.
Prices at the market are generally much lower than in the modern shops
I would skip the garment stalls with second hand low quality goods.

This is small compared to other craft markets, but if you don't have time to drive to the big market, you can still find some good craft bargains here.

Everyone loves an outdoor market and if you’re in downtown Mbabane, you’ll want to stop here for your take home souvenir... you’ll see some other backpacker types, but not that many! Pretty cool. There are a few nice little places to eat as you head out of the small city to the resort areas in the hills.. and when you’ve finished with this market, hit the nearby arts and crafts market! Then you can check Swaziland - now Eswatini - off the list!

Not sure if I would say it’s a must do in Mbabane but it’s worth a look. I was looking forward to seeing the markets and after seeing them thought it was just ok.

we visited the market as the only market in our itinerary. we started with the craft market which was full of different handmade stuff. we also bout a souvenir
then we went to spice market and fruit market, it was really nice.
but i think the main point of interest in such places is not the market or it`s stuff, mostly is nice and enjoyable when you speak with ladies who work there, there are full with positive energy, kindness and charm. also with talking to them you learn more of their country.

Der Markt is überschaubar. Er hat mehrere kleine Häuschen mit „Medizin“, Früchten, Kleidung,...
Insgesamt war es interessant, da es ein traditioneller Markt ist. Aber man sollte nicht zu viel erwarten bzw. sehr viel Zeit einplanen.

Wir waren an einem Sonntag da. Viele Läden sind geschlossen. Die Souvenir-Shops sind allerdings auch am Sonntag offen. Parking direkt vor dem Markt (jedenfalls sonntags) möglich.
Preise sehr moderat und im Vgl zu Ezulwini Markt günstiger. Natürlich kann der Preis verhandelt werden, aber bei der Armut fanden wir das unethisch. Wir waren sehr berührt über die allgegenwärtige Armut.
Der Markt befindet sich direkt vis a vis des Busbahnhofs und am Anfang der Gwamille Street (früher Arthur Miller Street).

バスターミナルに近い、ローカルマーケット。建物がいくつかあり野菜や工芸品、薬などでわかれています。食事ができる場所もあり。私が訪れた時はムハバネの気温は６度と寒かったので、コーヒーをいただきながら地元の人と語り合いました。
ショッピングモールよりここは地元らしさを感じられてよかったです。

町の中心にある、スーパーとかも入っているところです。「マーケット」という感じではなく、ショッピングモール的な感じ。アフリカの伝統的なマーケットとは違いますが、ある程度安心して買い物できます。
