Deepak guided me on a solo trek to the Panchase base camp. An exhilirating experience! We traveled from Pokara via jeep to a distance about 40 minutes away- and then the steps began. Deepak was an amazing guide -- considerate of my needs. At 75, this was my first trekking experience and the first time in Nepal. After 90 minutes of steps, we changed strategies and over the course of many hours, traversed the roads, stopping for a light lunch, and staying that night at a homestay -- with the most fantastic fresh food, including the freshest coffee-- and clean mountain air. I woke that morning to a glorious view of the Annapurna range. The next morning was an easy 2 1/2 hours to our destination - Panchase - a striking sunset, a choice of food, and great discussions around an outdoor stove with fellow trekkers from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Nepal. The highlight was the closeup sunrise view of Annapurna South, Fishtail, and other mountains. For me, a once in a life-time experience-- and a dream come true. I highly recommend Eastern Light Trek and Deepak.

In mid-November, we asked for a guide to Mardi Himal BC for the following five days:
Day1: Car to Kande ~ Pittam Deurali
Day2: Pittam Deurali ~ Low Camp
Day3: Low Camp ~ High Camp
Day4: High Camp ~ BC ~ Sidhing
Day5: Car to Pokhara
We adjusted the schedule and content via Whatsapp and email, but the replies are quick, polite and reliable.
Our guide Raju is very experienced and not only is he fluent in English, he also speaks a little bit of Japanese. During the trek, he explained many things about the name of the mountain and its culture, and paid attention to the pace allocation and food.
I also liked the fact that when both guides and trekkers met another inexperienced party, they supported them accordingly despite being outside their responsibilities.
I would like to ask Eastern Light Trek and Raju to guide me when I try trekking again in Nepal.

We had arranged a three-day tour by jeep to Muktinak. Deepak our guide had already explained everything intelligibly to us during the information interview and made us feel very good. Ram, the driver for the three days, also radiated an eerie calmness and prudence. Because he didn’t make any risky overtaking maneuvers, we could also enjoy the ride. Throughout the tour, the two were totally attentive and helpful. Deepak really took care of everything and was able to answer all our questions.
The three days have kept exactly what we were promised and what we expected.
We can recommend the tour, the two (guide and driver) and the agency in good conscience.

I met Dev bhai in Hong Kong,and he told me about this travel company in Nepal.I gave it a try and it was an amazing experience🔥I learned a lot about the country and made a lot of good memories from being at the Annapurna base camp for 10 days through his guidance from Hong Kong.Thank you so much for this experience Dev bhai,will cherish this forever.If you want to travel to Nepal from Hong Kong,Dev bhai is the person you want to find.

We had a great trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Making arrangements directly with Eastern Light Trek was a breeze. They were very responsive on email and answered all our questions promptly. When we finally met them at Pokhara the day before the trek started, they were so welcoming and super careful to ensure we were all set to go. We did the 9 day course which included a visit to Poon Hill/Ghorepani.
Our guide Homan and porter Bijen were fantastic. A lot of fun, informative and endlessly cheerful. Their English is great. We never had any trouble with communication. They took really great care of us. They were responsive to any request we had, and anticipated our needs beautifully. Homan kept a close eye on us and set a perfect pace. As a pair of late fifties hikers with no high altitude experience, we were a bit apprehensive at first, but everything worked out fine. Tired at the end of each day for sure, but not overly so, and no trouble with altitude sickness.
We'd like to go back to do the ABC circuit with Eastern Light Trek some day!
p.s. if you are lucky enough to tour with Homan and Bijen, be sure to challenge them to a game of Ludo!

I just finished the Mardi Himal Trek with Padam Tamang as my guide, and it was such an amazing experience! Padam felt more like an older brother, always looking out for me and making sure I was okay. He was super patient, even when I needed to take it slow, and he always had the best stories to share about the trail and the region. His knowledge of the mountains and his easygoing vibe made the trek unforgettable. If you’re planning to do this trek, Padam’s your guy—he’s the best!

We asked for a private Poon Hill/ABC trek guide and porter from the end of October to the 9th.
Among the various trekking companies, I decided to ask Punam for their help, as it was a decisive factor that my communication with Punam was smooth from the time of the inquiry, and it was a really good answer!
After all, our guide Homan was amazing. He's a 25-year veteran guide and, of course, safety first, but he's friendly and humorous, and his hilarious interactions have worn us out.
The journey to base camp was like a backyard for Homan, who knew every inch of the distance and scenic spots, greeting and exchanging information with another guide and porter he passed.
It snowed all night after we arrived at Annapurna Base Camp and we needed crampons when we were going down the mountain, but they made sure they were ready. (We had our own so we didn't need it) I passed another guide when we were going down the mountain, and he didn't have it, so I lent it to him.
Even when arranging a room, he always arranged a room with a view. The great thing was that they served fresh fruit for dessert every time after dinner. I think this plays a role in relieving fatigue. This is where the porter, Bijen, comes in every night with a creative way of cutting and presenting. This special dessert would have been envied by the trekkers around it! Bijen is a porter, but he is a very studious young man who has perfect English and is currently learning Korean. They were carrying our stuff, but they were able to talk to us and teach us things just like guides. Once my husband noticed the lost property, he came back down the steep trail and fetched it, and he was thrilled.
We are a couple in our late 50s, and although we have some mountain walking experience, this is our first 4,000-meter alpine trek and we had told them we were worried about altitude sickness, so they decided to divert to Poon Hill and take some time to climb. He also told me when to start taking Diamox. It was worth it, so we both didn't get altitude sickness!
I learned a lot from Mr. Homan, who taught me about the mountain people of Nepal, food and religion along the way.
I was really lucky to have Homan with me this time, as I realized that different guides can greatly change the fulfillment and enjoyment of this experience. I am so grateful and grateful to Homan for making such a great adventure the safest and most comfortable I have ever experienced!
Poon Hill also saw Dhaulagiri and Annapurna South beautifully, and at Base Camp, although it was cloudy after arrival and first thing in the morning, the clouds came off as soon as I started to descend, and the Annapurna Mountains and Machapchale looked stunning. It was amazing.

Took the the four-night/ five-day trek through Poon Hill and Muldai. Not an easy Trek but our guide Manoj was so helpful and always looked after us. Would recommend the added day trek as it gets you off the normal busy tourist track and gets you some great views of Annapurna South, Fishtail, and Dhaulagiri. Thanks so much Eastern Light and Manoj! Once in a lifetime experience

My friend and I did a 4 nights 5 days version of poon hill with an extra stop in dobato. Views from Muldai hill were by far the highlight! Our guide had a great sense of humor and was knowledgeable about all sorts of questions we asked. He did a great job guiding us through And we were so happy to have chosen eastern light!

Approximately 85 usd per day for guide and porter and all expenses. Use ELT and Get Dilip and Santosh...best in the biz

I really don't know anymore. Dev asks fair prices. You can try to book cheaper elsewhere, but it doesn't pay out. For us it's also important that the porters and guides are insured and treated well and Eastern light trek takes very good care of his people. Don't go for the bottom price but got for a safe and well organised trekking.
