Bad taxi drivers in Bangkok. Please be aware. They'll scam you. They will jack up the price, you need to bargain to half of it

So finally Thailand will legalise ride share taxi services. I have been going to Thailand for 20 years and most yellow cab taxi drivers in Sukhumvit area are scammers and greedy individuals who refuse to use the meter as required by law and extort tourists. On many occossions I have wanted to go from Asoke to Suvannaphumi International Airport and the cab drivers want to charge 600-800 plus toll fees to go to there when the meter fee is just 350 baht incl toll fees. It's called kharma.
Note .. not all taxi drivers extort tourists but the majority of those around Sukhumvit do. Lazy individuals waiting for a killer fare.
When I finally would get an honest driver who agreed used the meter I would always tip him 100 baht for being honest.
Yeahhhhh ride share service.. about time.

I and my mum took the Thai Taxi service from my house to the airport because very body in my house are all busy. The driver was very friendly and driving very safety and on time. will use next time.

Thai taxis are great. The fare starts at 35 b and you can go a fair distance for that price. As most places take about an hour to get to due to the constant heavy traffic, fares are always very reasonable almost always under 150 b the drivers must have the patience of saints as they live in traffic jams. It is not worth driving in the city, take a taxi instead.

I visited Bangkok and other cities by Thaitaxiservices, Thx the driver and Thaitaxiservices call center for helpful.

À notre arrivée à l'aéroport de Bangkok un chauffeur de taxi de thai taxi nous attendait avec leurs petites afficher avec nos noms dessus, très respectueux.
Rien à dire sur eux, toujours à l'heure meme en avance, ils vous envoient un mail un jour avant pour savoir si c'est toujours bon pour le lendemain.
Tout les chauffeurs de taxi qu'on a eut sur Bangkok et même de Bangkok à pattaya ont été très souriant.
Je vous recommande fortement de prendre thai taxi pour vos petits comme grand déplacement en Thaïlande.
