Hi Remy, Thank you for the review and feedback about the trekking in Chiang Dao with guide Deechawat. We will work with Deecha to improve his guidance. Unfortunately, with Chiang Dao being such a remote region there are no guides that both know their way around these parts and speak good English too. The villages that we pass are not tourist destinations but places where people have been living for hundreds of years. I agree with you that Deecha should give more information about the background and history of these villages. We will work with him on this. The trekking that we do in Chiang Dao is very off the beaten path and there are not many guides doing treks in this particular area so it is hard to find a good English-speaking guide for this. Most of our guests have no problems with it as Mister Deecha is a friendly man with a lot of experience and knowledge about the area but I can understand that it is sometimes difficult to communicate with him.
