Booked directly and travelled on the Bai Tho Junk 2 night cruise. This was an amazing trip and the 2 nights gave us more relaxation time.
Staff were very friendly and professional - always ready to help out. Rooms were better than expected, but could do with a deep clean as it was a bit dusty.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our activities included a cave visit, kayaking, pearl/oyster farm visit, squid fishing, spring roll cooking class, and a boat/rowing ride with local fishers. Kayaking was the trip highlight as we were the only people in the area - it was absolutely stunning. Good value for money.

La verdad es que la experiencia fue muy agradable, el barco no muy grande pero con todas las comodidades. El restaurant perfecto con comida bien servida y de calidad. El,personal agradable. Los camarotes correctos con baño completo e incluso una terracita para poder disfrutar del esplendido paisaje sin moverse de el. Tambien se realizan actividades, aunque no tengas casi tiempo de disfrutar asi como un par de excursiones a una de las islas paradisiacas y un poblado flotante de pescadores.

We really enjoyed the overnight Halong Bay Cruise. We were lucky to have a lovely en suite room, although I know that the rooms below deck are not quite so nice.
Our guide for our trip was “Linda”, she was lovely, spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable.
On the first day we visited a floating village. We also had a Vietnamese cooking lesson - we made spring rolls.
The food provided on board was lovely with some very fresh and extremely tasty seafood.
We visited some caves on the second day.
The only thing I would say is that many boats do the same route and it was quite busy and a bit too touristy, but was worth it to see the stunning views.
The rest of the crew were not as friendly as Linda, but they didn’t speak English very well.
My husband enjoyed some squid fishing off the boat in the dark and was the first on board to make a catch!
We were the only English on a boat full of Italians. They all grouped together and we did feel a little isolated. It would have been better if there was a more even mix of nationalities. Would recommend this trip.

24 heures sur la Victoria Star. Cabines très confortables. Bouffe très correcte. Le temps brumeux et frais n’a pas permis de profiter au maximum des transats installés sur le pont. Paysages féeriques dont la légère brume environnante renforçait la beauté, Belle visite de villages flottants. Cours de tai chi sur le pont. Bref un très bon souvenir.

Nuestro barco era el Garden Bay Legend, pequeño con pocos camarotes pero limpios suficientemente amplios y cómodos, la comida muy rica y cuidada, las excursiones quizá algo estresantes pero el entorno lo puede todo, lugar único y maravilloso.

Organizzazione perfetta. Puntuali, puliti, ben organizzati. Abbiamo fatto la crociera di due giorni e una notte. L’imbarcazione è silenziosa, le camere molto curate, piuttosto piccole ma funzionali, può essere fastidioso se avete molti bagagli. Il bagno invece è piuttosto spazioso, la doccia è molto grande ed ha una finestra molto ampia che affaccia sulla baia. La nostra stanza aveva un balconcino oltre da una grande vetrata con vista mozzafiato sulla baia. L’imbarcazione è spaziosa, bello il ristorante con un servizio attento e curato. I pasti sono vari, abbondanti e di discreta qualità. Il ponte superiore tutto in legno è corredato di comodi lettini per ammirare il panorama. Nessun ambiente è affollato c’è il numero giusto di persone. Si è circondati da altre giunche solo di notte e quando si scende per le visite. Personale molto efficiente, anche troppo accudente.

Esperaba un barco muchísimo pero, una experiencia totalmente prescindible y al final resultó ser todo lo contrario. Por las opiniones imagino que habrá distintos tipos de barco (el nuestro era blanco). En el que viajamos nosotros estaba genial, quizá un poquito viejo pero las zonas comunes geniales y muy limpias. Nos tocó en la suite y teníamos una habitación bastante amplia, con ducha y bañera de hidromasaje. También había una terraza (todas las habitaciones tenían) y disponía de WIFI, aunque iba y venía, como es lógico estando en mitad de la bahía. La comida estaba realmente buena, una gran sorpresa, casi siempre nos ponían pescado y estaba muy bueno. Respecto a la animación para mi gusto muy bien, nos hicieron un curso de cocina, había una clase de taichí por la mañana y cuando no estabas comiendo estabas de excursión por lo que no te da tiempo de aburrirte. De hecho contábamos con tomar el sol en la cubierta (disponía de hamacas súper cómodas) y al final no tuvimos tiempo. El barco no es muy grande por lo que hay poquita gente, nosotros éramos unos 30-35 y como ya nos conocíamos de otras excursiones la experiencia está muy bien. La tripulación es amable, y además tuvieron un detalle con nosotros en la cena por estar de luna de miel. Lo recomiendo.

Gisteren aan boord gegaan van de Victory Star van Bai Tho, een luxueuze jonk met 3w kamers. Onze kamer was prima. De lunch waarmee we begonnen was heerlijk, daarna een bezoek aan een floating village in Halong bay.'s Aonds weer een prima diner. De dag erna ee bezoek aan een grot en een uitvebreide brunch tot slot, top!!

ベトナム旅行2日目。
世界遺産のハロン湾クルーズ観光に出かけました。
ガイドさんからいただいたチケットを見ると
40,000ドンと250,000ドンが
書かれてますね。
￥200と￥1250。
うう~ん、いったいいくらなんだろう。
乗船料、ランチ代が含まれているのだと思います。
船は同じツアーの方6人での利用。
なのでとてもゆったりできました。
1Fはテーブル席になっていて、
エアコンはついてるけど使用せず、
扇風機が各テーブルについてました。
2F席はデッキチェアがありました。
お手洗いもついているので安心です。
景色の写真を撮っていると、
乗船していたお姉さんたちが
お土産販売を開始します。
座っているテーブルを回ってくるので
逃げようがありません（＾－＾；
お付き合いで少しだけ買いましたが、
これは勘弁してほしいかなぁ~。
到着したのはハロン湾最大のスンソット洞。
とても大きな鍾乳洞ですばらしかったです。
ただ、階段の上り下りが結構あるので
足が弱い方は要注意ですね。
船に戻ると昼食です。
テーブルセッティングを見てびっくり。
紙おしぼりと布おしぼりの両方がありました。
エビの殻をむくからなのかなと
思っていたけど、
海老の殻もカニの甲羅外しも
全てサーブしてくれるお姉さんがやってくれました。

●蒸しエビ
ベトナムでは毎食エビを食べていた気がします。
甘みがあるエビはレモン塩であっさりといただきます。
●チキンスープ
とろみが強い鶏ひき肉とにんじん、シイタケなどのスープ。
優しい味ですがコクはありますね♪
●カニのすり身揚げ
甲羅の裏側も写真に撮りたかったけど、
あっという間にお姉さんに解体されてました（＾－＾；
カニの甲羅にカニ身とお魚のすり身を
詰め揚げてあります。
やわらかめの食感ですね。
薄味なので卓上のベトナム醤油でいただきました。
●揚げ春巻き
ベトナム北部ハノイの定番揚げ春巻き。
揚げたてで熱々☆
甘酸っぱ辛いたれでいただきます。
もちもちとした皮の中には
春雨やきくらげなどが入ってました。
●野菜スープ
まさかのWスープ！
でもね、すごく優しい味わいなので
つい飲んでしまいます。
●白身魚の甘酢煮
しっとりとした白身魚ですね。
甘酢と言ってもベトナムの甘酢系は
どれも甘みも酸味も控えめ。
甘酢がそれほど得意でない私には
すごく食べやすかったです。
●イカと野菜の炒め物
イカはやわらかくて野菜はシャキシャキです。
●空芯菜炒め
この後、毎食のように食べることになるとは思わず
たくさん食べてしまいました（＾－＾；
ニンニクがきいていて優しい塩味。
おいしかったです。
●ライス
●バナナ
バナナの登場に友人が苦笑い。
だって、私バナナが食べられないんだもん（笑
●333ビールとお水
両方で80000ドン。
￥400くらいですね。
ドルでの支払いも可能で両方で＄4。
多分ビールが＄3、水が＄1です。
完璧観光地価格です。
ワインのボトルなども用意されてましたよ。
どこで調理をしているのか
わからなかったけど、
船上で調理をしているはず。
だって、どのお料理も熱々だったから。
デザートのバナナを含めて全10品は
ちょっと多かったかな。
男性でも満足できる量でした！

It was fabulous to sail through the karsts/ islands. The scenery is incredible. The " Surprising " cave was totally amazing and photos can 't do it justice. The junk is basic accommodation as the name suggests. The staff on board were not very welcoming and could improve their hospitality. The lunch they provided contained 8 or 10 seafood courses most of which we enjoyed.
There were multiple seafood courses for dinner too. But since we are not huge seafood eaters we asked for some vegetarian courses the next day and these were provided. I was glad had I had yoga pants and jacket with me because it pretty cold lat night.
