Der Tempel sieht nicht wie ein historisches Gebäude aus, sondern eher wie ein Neubau. Schön ist es, dass auch wirklich religiöse Rituale dort stattfinden.

Its a place within the busy old Dhaka street, surrounding gives a feel of a mixture of old and new Dhaka. Hindu religion believers worship here during Hindu festivals and Puja, this place is the most vibrant and festive place.

The thrill to visit there is like the birth place of Dhaka.The name of Dhaka comes from this historical place.And the diversity of culture is just awesome.The environment it self is enough for to visit.In there the goddess Kali/Durga is said to be the defender of whole Bangladesh according to the vedas and purans.The smell of being there in the Diwalli is just majestic.You have to be there to feel the unforgettable experience. Belive me you will never regret.

派手な色彩の寺院です。お経が境内に響き渡っています。サリーを着た女性を多く見ることができます。本堂の中には靴さえ脱げば信者でなくても入場できます。

Durga Mandir at old Dhaka. Neat and clean mandir (temple) and one of the oldest mandir of Dhaka. Mandir opens at 7am in the morning and closes for two hours from 2pm to 4pm and remain open till 9pm. One can collect bhog from the mandir premises from 12.30 pm onward.

This temple complex in Old Dhaka is quite striking. Domes and bright colors, it is interesting to visit. Of course, you have to take your shoes off. The ground can be very dirty and damp. It is a peaceful respite from the din and pollution of the city.

Nice to visit different places of religious worship. Well maintained and nice structure. Worth a trip but not a must.

A Durga temple stated to be about 800 years old is dedicated to Devi Durga. It has been declared by the Bangladesh govt. as a National Monument. Situated in the old city is well maintained. It is thronged by the local Hindus especially during the Durgapuja. The Dhaka city is named after the deity.

If You Visit Bangladesh must visit this historicl Hindu Temple. Its nice and so beautifull. I love the Hindu God and Goddes, Its really a place for every religion people. Hare Krishna, Joy Hindu.
