Bangladesh is a great little country, a gem in the rough for anyone interested in different ways of life, with a population that is extremely friendly and eager to welcome visitors. The Sundarbans, a World Heritage Site, allows you to visit the home of the great Bengal tiger and other wildlife by boat and canoe. Further north, remains of the glorious past with mosques and temples that remind us of other times. Finally, this has been possible thanks to the good work of Papoon from Pathfriend Tour, who with his permanent smile has transmitted joy throughout the trip.

He visitado Bangladesh com Panthfriend. Ha sido una experiencia positiva conocer este país con la ayuda de nuestro guía Eyasin Papon, una persona amable y preparada, que nos ha llevado por los manglares del sur o los templos del norte. Un guía muy recomendable.

9 días en Bangladesh, aunque sean pocos, me han permitido descubrir un país de grandes posibilidades turísticas, pues dispone de los ingredientes necesarios, entre los que destaco a sus habitantes, gente extraordinariamente amable. Papon, de Pathfriend Tour Operator, ha sido nuestro guía y os lo recomiendo. Con una sonrisa siempre presente no deja de manifestar su entusiasmo y sus ganas de hacer sentir bien a los clientes.

Papon, guide and owner of this tour operator, is a very friendly man who did everything and more to make your trip as good as possible.
The Country has very few tourists and people is always very kind. Don’t expect good hotels and restaurants but is a good experience.

Papun pone un entusiasmo y muchas ganas a todo lo que enseña fantastico. Siempre está pendiente de agradar. El pais ira poco a poco mejorando en cuanto a infraestructuras pues a nivel turístico esta empezando

I recently had the wonderful experience of going on a private tour around South-west Bangladesh with Pathfriend. As a somewhat introverted solo female traveler, I value respect, privacy, but also fun and adventure. I was nervous about traveling in what tends to be a largely male dominated industry, and this would be my first multi-day trip package which would also be a private tour. However, I got a great impression of Eyasin, the owner, when we had chatted, and all my fears were unwarranted because Pathfriend tours not only managed to deliver a fantastic experience, they surpassed my expectations as well.
Eyasin was also my guide, and he is simply the best! Right from the beginning, as I could only confirm my tour at the very last minute, Eyasin was flexible enough to prepare a whole itinerary adjusted to my needs - a 4 day package from Dhaka to visit several locations on a boat cruise in the Sundarbans, driving to see the historical mosques in Bagherhat, and lastly to go on a city walk in Barishal before a cruise through 7 different rivers back to Dhaka.
The highlight of the entire tour for me was visiting the Sundarbans. Away from Dhaka, here, the skies are clear and the air is fresh. The mangrove ecosystems are simply teeming with wildlife - Kingfishers and Bramminy kites, Otters and Crocodiles, and the mysterious Bengal tiger (although we didn’t see one, we saw footprints, heard deer cries, and are sure the tigers saw us). I will never forget the experience of sitting on a paddle boat as we floated silently down a creek, listening through all the lush vegetation around us - Nipa palm, Sundari trees etc. I also got to see sever sunrises and sunsets and got to interact with the respectful boat crew and to share many laughs and song over the most delicious and freshly prepared Bangladeshi food (including trying the delicious fruit of the Nipa palm which we collected on one creek paddle).
I would recommend a tour with Pathfriend to anyone willing to put their reservations aside and who want to experience travel in Bangladesh in a culturally respectful and integrated way. Everywhere we stayed, the accommodation is basic but comfortable. Eyasin will go out of his way to make your stay and experience one that is special, and one where your needs are met.
The entire tour really felt like building a friendship and that is what has left it’s biggest mark on me. Thank you, Eyasin, for what is a memory of a lifetime for me!

Na wycieczkę po Bangladeszu wybrałam się z Paponem . Byłam niesamowicie zaskoczona. Nie spodziewałam się znaleźć tyle ciekawych miejsc w Bangladeszu. Chętnie wrócę tam jeszcze raz!!

Myself and my husband went on the 3 day private tour to Sreemangal in May 2022. Our tour guide spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable about the local area and sights, as well as being very friendly and adaptable! The price of the tour was also very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use this tour company again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangladesh!

Went on this trip in February 2020 and it was truly AMAZING! If you want to go, I'd recommend it and with these guys, they're brilliant.
They were really good and arranged for me to join the trip last minute and I am so grateful to them for that. The boat trip into the Sundarbans was the highlight, really calm and wonderful slow journey in and then walking around some of the paths. The beach, almost empty, was great. Going through some of the river tributaries on the canoe was excellent, seeing the birds, monkeys, etc.
The food throughout the trip was outstanding, I am of Bangladeshi origin and I can tell you that the food is as authentic Bangladeshi food as you will find in any Bangladeshi home, (a middle class Bangladeshi home).
I think the trip was amazing and extremely good value for money, others charging more than double for exactly the same itinerary; the other expensive tour operator had used our boat, their name stickers were still on our boat when we boarded!
We missed seeing the tigers by mins, judging by the footprints that we saw, but I would still go again and really recommend it.

If I would have listened to media coverage about Bangladesh in my home country I would never made the trip, good that I didn’t listen.
I really recommend this trip, because it gives you a very good insight into the beautiful nature, the many historical sites and lets gives you the opportunity to meet and interact with very friendly people along the way.
My personal highlights of this tour:
Exploring the relaxing Sundarbans with lot of animals and mangrove forest by boat and on foot
Visiting historical temples and mosques
Sonargaon enjoying the old architecture
Taking train, ship, car and bicycle
The beautiful rice fields around Bogra
The quietness of Bhasu Vihara which is surrounded by rice fields
Playing cricket with the locals
The yogurt at Bogra, best one I ever ate
I did not see a lot of foreign tourist. It is still an unspoiled and off the beaten path destination ready to be explored.
Don’t expect 5* hotels and Michelin restaurants, accommodation and restaurants are basic.
Thank you very much to everyone involved in making this a wonderful and unforgettable trip. It was very professional and well organized from the first e-mail until the drop-off at the airport.
