Botanical Garden is located at Mirpur, near the Dhaka Zoo, a serene place away the main city. Full of green
Spread over an area of 205 acres of land, it has a collection of nearly 100 species of local and foreign plants. Outstanding attractions are the hundreds of varieties of roses, the multitude of types of bamboo in the bamboo groves, the sandal wood and old banyan trees

There is a lot of places we can visit. Different types of trees,flower gardens are there. Bird watcher also can have good time.
Need to be careful for purchasing foods from imnside shops as they all are not good.

The rather large and poorly maintained National Botanical Garden make for a nice respite from the rest of loud and polluted Dhaka. The grounds are not maintained very well. Some of the trees are labelled. There are no explanatory boards. The areas of flowers (mostly roses) are closed off so that they can only be seen well by climbing very rickety stands. The cactus house, orchid house, etc all remained locked and inaccessible. This garden is best for a leisurely wander when you want to escape the craziness that is Dhaka.

This is winter so not much of heat or moisture , you may plan a day tour with a group , must carry camera and pen n paper. You will find thousands of trees which are very uncommon, you may take pictures and write the name . May find a caretaker inside if you are lucky or may look for one by paying a little. All together it’s a peaceful place , where serenity comes in mind.

The Botanical Garden is a good place to visit in Dhaka city with family.
It is not well maintained,the management should take care of the cleanliness.

I have Sean beautiful flower garden more than 500 years old trees beautiful landscaping. i cant believe in dhaka available botanical garden. I relax my mind in there.

This is one of my frequently visited place in Dhaka, to explore all the flora and fauna of Bangladesh. It is very popular among health conscious morning jogger as well. Thousand of them visits every morning. In the middle is a glorious rose garden, in the back there is also a observation deck for water plants and birds. Worth bringing your kids and foreigner friends to introduce Bangladesh nature.

National Botanical Garden is located in Mirpur, Dhaka adjacent of national Zoo. As Dhaka is over crowded city; you can visit this place for breath taking. There are millions of plants which are eye soothing. It is one of the largest botanical gardens of Bangladesh, a nature learning center for the nature lovers, bird watchers, photographers and botanists and a tourist destination. The Garden has a scientific collection of approximately 100,000 preserved specimens of plants. Even you can visit with your family members. Now security of this garden is looking after by the law enforcement department.

The National Botanic Garden of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh National Herbarium make up the largest plant conservation center in Bangladesh, with an area of around 84 hectares (210 acres). It is located at Mirpur in Dhaka, beside the Dhaka Zoo.The garden provides learning and recreational facilities adjacent to the Dhaka Zoo. It is divided into 57 sections, and is managed by Forest Department under Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of Bangladesh.
