Located on the main street that lies along the river. The Chinese architecture stands out from its surroundings and has a beautiful appearance. Definitely worth checking out when you visit the area.

When walking down Jalan Kianggeh along the small river of that name towards the Tamu Kianggeh, the towns main market, I saw almost on the opposite of it the front of this not very big Chinese temple, apparently built in 1960.
Chinese have been present in Brunei since centuries, mainly as merchants. The majority though came to work here after the discovery of oil in the 1920's, thus in Britsh times. Now with about 10% of the population they form the biggest minority in the country.

ひときわ目立つ建物です。中華風の寺院でこの国では珍しい仏教のお寺。周りはビルや運河、マーケットの目の前です。ちょっとした参拝や写真撮影に適した

有名な朝市の入り口前あたり、駐車場に囲まれて建っています。どこのお店にも掲げられていた黄色い垂れ幕（噂によると国王の誕生日を祝う垂れ幕らしい）がこのお寺にも掲げられていたせいか、仰々しい印象は受けず、チラ見しただけで立ち寄りませんでした。

バスターミナルからすぐのところにある、小さな中華寺院です。周りがビルや大きな道路なので、あまりよい外観の写真は撮れません。

I thing it is the only Chinese temple in Bandar Seri Begawan. A new high building is built close to the temple not so long time ago, so you cannot take a good photo of this beautiful building.

モスクが多い街中にあって特異な存在感となっていました。
高層ビルの隣の敷地に道教風の寺院となっており、漢字で書かれた額も掲げられていました。堂内に入ると台湾等でお目にかかる寺院そのもので、中国系住民の多さを表しているようでした。

To visit temple is free but if you would like to pray with incense. It would be BND 1.00 for a small pack and BND 5.00 for the larger ones. For gold paper to burn, that you would have to ask the Auntie there.
