Barak was fantastic. Reliable, knowledgeable, fun, smart and personable. He went out of his way to help us with some travel issues we were experiencing. His integrity, support and attitude were invaluable and made our experience positive and memorable.

This is actually the second time we have used Israel Wine Tour. Just like last time…What a great experience! Barak was amazing and took care of everything for us. He is wonderful at proactive communication, giving us options for the tour prior to it. We chose 2 smaller wineries and a goat cheese farm. He gave us historical perspectives along our drive and catered to all of our questions. He is a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend Israel Wine Tour!

My mom and I had the absolute pleasure of booking with Israel Wine Tour and Barak was the best tour guide ever! He shared fascinating knowledge about the region, history of the country and winemaking, and personal anecdotes about the phenomenal wineries we visited. At every winery we sampled the most delicious wine and cheese. It was the best day and we can't wait to do it again with the rest of the family!

The wine tour was fabulous. Barak Yitzhaki was very gracious and knowledgeable about the history and business of wine production in this region of Israel. We had breads, cheeses, and condiments at each winery to accompany numerous red, white, and rose wines. We went into a vineyard to see the varieties of grapes, and we also saw an archeological wine-making site.

My husband and I spent 8 days in Israel. Our day spent with Barak in the Judean Hills was truly a highlight of our trip. We hired Barak based on other on-line reviews and the reviewers were spot on. First, he is a great guide with a great personality and super knowledgeable about the wine industry in Israel. Second, I agree with one of the other reviewers who commented that because of his relationships with the different vineyards, we definitely felt like we were getting the VIP treatment. We loved meeting the wine makers and managers at all three stops. Finally, the wines were exceptional. The Judean Hills was recently designated an appellation - the only one in Israel - it is easy to see why. We ended up buying an extra suitcase in Israel so we could bring home ten bottles (and an amazing bottle of olive oil). Our only regret is that we could not buy more.
Finally, we will definitely be hiring Barak when we return to Israel not just for wine tours but for some of his other itineraries. We highly recommend him to everyone.

We went on our wine tour with Barak Ytzhaki in May of 2023. We had an incredible time visiting three boutique wineries of the Judean Hills region, including Agur, Nevo, and Tzora Vineyards. Barak was very informative and the wine was incredible. I highly recommend this tour to all visitors of the beautiful State of Israel.

Barak is a fantastic guide. He speaks great English. Was engaging also with our two girls, 8 and 10 years old. Extremely knowledgeable and tailored the tour to what we wanted to do and see. I’ve been to the old city many times, but so different with a guide and one like him who knows where to go and what to show you.

Barak took us to 3 amazing wineries in the Judean Hills. They were all fairly close to Tel Aviv, so it was definitely a manageable day, and the wineries he took us to showed a good range of Israeli wines from robust reds to crisp, refreshing whites. The icing on the cake is that Barak knows the folks at each of these wineries very well, and we really felt like we were getting the VIP treatment. In addition to having a deep knowledge of local wines, Barak also peppered our tour with cultural, geopolitical, and historical information about Israel, so we felt like we were getting more than just a wine tour. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and I highly recommend it!

Barak of Israel Wine Tours was very helpful in determining the right line-up of wineries that would best match our interests. Everything was planned in advance, and our tour was smooth and enjoyable. Each winery offered a nice flight of wines to taste as well as a plate of small bites to nibble on. The Tulip Winery was the highlight, as we were able to meet the owner and learn more about the winery behind the scenes. The wine was particularly tasty, all made by individuals with special needs, employed by the winery. Awesome!

10/10 - My boyfriend & I had the most spectacular experience with Alon (who had already come highly recommended to us). Not only did we have a beautiful day, and thoroughly enjoyed all of the wineries that Alon brought us to, but he was simply so knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the day with & get to know. This is a 'must do' experience if you're in Israel!

Visiting Tel Aviv in May. Would like wine and cheese and other regional cuisine. I see a lot of talk about the judean hills. Please elaborate on the area and what it offers. Is this a good visit from Tel Aviv?

Absolutely. Kim Marcus, the Managing Editor of Wine Spectator called it " the one distinct wine region in Israel on account of the spice" he of course is talking about the wines that come from the Judean Hills. We would add that there are superb restaurants there , goat cheese farms, microbreweries. This is a region with over 40 wineries and is an hour away from Tel Aviv. It was recommended that we do a tasting at Pelter winery and that they are open on a Saturday. Plus, they also have a distillery and a cafe and we could spend the day there. Do you take people to wine tastings on a Saturday from Tel Aviv? What do you charge?

Absolutley, There are Kosher wineries in every region and in the Judean Hills there are more than 20 Kosher wineries alone!
