I highly recommend Jordan National gallery of fine arts. The gallery is comprises of 2 buildings and a beautiful sculpture park between them.
"Diva!" exhibition showing the glamour, beauty and uniqueness of Italian fashion jewellery(1950-2021), which transform every woman in a goddess. Happening now, until 26.02.2022, from 9 a. m - 5 p. m every day except Fridays, at a Building 2.
Building 1 is a host of contemporary African art from the permanent collectoin of the gallery now.
Also, the Jordan National gallery of fine arts represents Jordanian artists and the other Arabic countries artists. On the last floor of the Building 2 are library and books about art, design and architecture in different languages and cafe with terrace and great views- overlooking the garden of the gallery, blue-domed King Abdullah I Mosque and Abdali Boulevard.
Have in your mind, 1 ticket (7 JD for non Jordanian and 1JD for Jordanian) is valid for Building 1 and Building 2 in the same day visit. Fridays are day off.
Tip: Take a service taxi(white colour) for 0,50 JD per person near Hashem restaurant in Balad - downtown Amman to the gallery.

If you likely to walk in old Amman, this is where you can find a bunch of valuable exhibitions . Thus Art Gallery holds best exhibitions for international artists. It has also a permanent collection if art pieces.

Its the National Gallery... and it wasn't a lot of Jordan history on it. Two small building independents of each other, some collaboration for different countries, that was good. But nothing majestic. It quite far away from the centre, If you go I recommend you to go in taxi. Just if you have spare time, the staff don't speak english so... It was quite fun to understand them.

Entree 5 jod niet met Jordan pas . 2 aparte gebouwen tegenover elkaar. Met de ticket beide te bezoeken. Pand 1 voor Asian kunst pand 2 voor Jordan kunst en tijdelijke tentoonstellingen . Op de bovenste verdieping een bibliotheek /chill ruimte met gezonde bar. In de sfeer Safe the Word ala Green.

My expectations were fairly low for this venue as it usually doesn’t surface on lists of the top sights in Amman. Having seen it I think the lists are suspect as the museum is very impressive.
There are two different buildings and the cost is 5 dinars for both. Both buildings are worthwhile but I particularly liked the Asian art exhibition in the larger building. The art was high quality with a lot of variety. Artists were from everywhere. They even had some North Korean art.
Highly recommended.

Una galería moderna, pero nada de turismo para visitar, si vives en Jordania ok pasa y mira las exposiciones, pero si estas de paso no vale la pena perder tiempo con tantas cosas que hacer mirando exposición que puede ser buena como de muy mala calidad

Very beautiful gallery in a quiet part of the city. I saw one part of the exhibition with modern Asian art it was absolutely amazing!

Good rotating exhibits and local Jordanian artists. Both buildings are nice, as is the park in between.

This was a lovely experience. The exhibits are stunning. The building itself is in a quiet location adjacent to a small park. The museum has a cafe for you to enjoy coffee while you read some books they keep on hand...
I just want one more floor! It's very small. There's not much on the first floor and half of the third, top floor for exhibits is set aside for the gift shop and cafe.
All the same, I'd definitely go back and recommend that any art lover go. The collection highlights artists from the Middle East, North Africa, and even from India, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. I probably would never known about these artists if I hadn't visited this museum.

Can anyone recommend an air conditioned restaurant near the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts for lunch? We want a sit-down meal with table service, not just light cafe fare or a takeaway felafel. Thanks!
