A brill introduction in the history of architecture and the traditions of a glorious culture. It was an eyeopener and a revelation in many ways to be able to discover the beauty of Cairo with the help of our most knowledgeable and expert guides. It was an intellectual treat and personally a very pleasant experience. Recommended for newcomers and experts alike, these tours reveal the couleur locale and introduce you in the details only Egyptians know about their homeland.

We did four tours with WLAE while we were in Egypt; two in Cairo and two in Luxor. We had great guides/drivers (Assem and Hamdy) and easy communication the whole time. Definitely recommend.

They did a wonderful job helping us prioritize what we wanted to see in our 3 days in Cairo before arrival and really helped us make the most of our time as we went along. Our guide, Asmaa, was very knowledgeable and felt like a friend showing us her favorite spots in her home town. Would absolutely use Walk Like an Egyptian if I went back.

We had an incredible time with Asmaa showing us around the Pyramids! We did many different tour companies while in Egypt and this was by far the best one. Asmaa was incredibly knowledgeable and gave great recommendations of what to do in the area even when we were complete with our tour

Walk like an Egyptian provides fabulous knowledge on the ground in Egypt’s under-appreciated sites. Walking tours are not as common here and Walk like an Egyptian allows you to immerse yourself in Egyptian culture and history. The guides are very knowledgeable and provide approachable information with an emphasis on story telling. They curate a social information exchange among guests who are often a mix of foreigners and Egyptians alike.

The places we visited with Asmaa in Islamic Cairo and the Pyramids have their own innate magic, but it takes a special storyteller to make you feel part of that magic and the previous lives of the buildings. The tours somehow made the places we visited seem familiar yet wondrous at the same time. Asmaa always had a surprise her sleeve to help you imagine yourself into the spaces she took us into. Without constantly inundating us with unnecessary facts we were given a proper journey back in time, and therefore absorbed more the history. The trip was so comfortable, fun and yet exhilarating. Wonderful.

Thank you Walk Like An Egyptian for two stunning informative and wonderful days of tours in Cairo. Our Giza and Islamic Cairo tours were perfectly tailored for our needs and although packed with sights they were richly informative. Asmaa’s historical knowledge is woven with meaning and storytelling. Plenty of time for photos. Exceptional tours. Magical unexpected surprises were also planned by Asmaa that brought Cairo vividly to life. Our tours were dreams come true. The driver was careful and considerate, snacks and drinks provided. Comfortable vehicles. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Great guide, wonderful tours. The complicated Cairo dance ( logistics, transportation, etc.)made so interesting and enjoyable. Asmaa was superb!

Guide was very knowledgeable. He showed us areas of the market off the tourist trail to see the true local life. His insite at the mosques was also very informative. We are very happy we took this tour

Walk like an Egyptian provided our group with an exceptional experience! From the moment we booked till the end of the tour, they were super helpful and responsive. We had a wonderful day the Pyramids of Giza followed by a short boat trip on the Nile. Would definitely join them again on other tours in the future.

Theough their facebook page they announce the events and then you can send them that you want to join and send you all the instructions
