Great place to go for a day out, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. It is a large complex, both indoors and outdoors with a range of different brands, both high end and high street to cater to most shoppers.
Once you're done, you can go for a stroll at the park which is also good.

A very nice mall with many western labels/shops. Nice location where you can also sit well outside on the lake, for eating and drinking (some non Chinese restaurants). Prices are consistently up. All in all, definitely worth a visit if you get homesick after a few weeks of China ;-) I will stop by again...

big mall both indoors and outdoors, very beautiful, lots of brands, both high end and affordable. kids zone, cinema, coffee shops, fast food, restaurants, kids' train and more.

An incredible shopping center in Beijing! So many stores, restaurants, levels and activities! You could definitely spend a whole day day here with no regrets!
For the winter season though, the ice skating ring isn’t as good as rated. The price you pay to enter, is the price with your ice-skates included. This might be a pretty good deal for people who borrow ice-skates to skate, but as a person who has my own ice-skates I think the price should be much lower than 200RMB, especially for the tiny ice-skating ring that they are providing to you. Plus you have to pay extra for the ice-strollers for kids.

Whitley floor dedicated to children. Lovely Mall, inside and outside next to the river. Lots of nice eateries and shops. We lived this mall.

The Solana Mall is a modern upscale complex with both an indoor and outdoor component. Many western high-end brands here, including Toys-R-Us which went out of business in USA. There are two Starbucks located at Solana (one is regular, the other is a reserve). The mall complex is a giant ring with the outer edge being a string of dozens of various restaurants all the way around. Even in winter the outside is well lit with lots of colorful festive lighting. Recommendation: you come to Solana primarily to eat at one of the dozens of high-end restaurants, with a little shopping on the side if needed. It’s a place to eat and most of the restaurants can accommodate larger groups of 5-10 people (or more). Also has a McDonalds for a quick snack! Solana is directly connected to the large Chaoyang Park if you’re up for a stroll or a picnic. Enjoy! 🇺🇸

本来只是平凡的一天，
就是去蓝港旁的亮马河水岸遛弯，
然后竟然让我遇到了黑天鹅。
当时是看到了2只黑天鹅，
所以赶上一个阳光的午后，
带着麻麻再次来看黑天鹅，
这次竟然让我看到了黑天鹅一家~
毛绒绒的小天鹅跟在黑天鹅麻麻身后，
真的是萌化了我的心。
这个水岸也可以坐船，
之前看到还有人在岸边野餐。
现在更是可以看黑天鹅！
这么棒的地方，我不允许你还不知道！

loved this mall. perfect shopping place for me. i spent a whole day here and bought a lot of stuff. this mall is very huge, very artistically constructed, with a theatre, restaurants, and so many clothing and cosmetic brands, and when the night came, i was stunned by the lightings. very aesthetically built. i may try the bars on the perimeters of the mall the next time. if i lived close by i'd come here all the time.

Typical modern Beijing mall. We visited to buy coarse from Zara, ahead of a visit to the ski centres further north. The mall was as you'd expect..... worth a visit if you are nearby but not worth making a longer trip for.

You would get off at Zao Yong station but it will be a six to ten minute walk from the station to Solana. You would walk north and you should be able to see Solana, Zoo coffee etc.

From what I have seen there isn't any money exchange places inside the mall but there is a four season hotel which is about ten mins west of the mall that has money exchange. There are other hotels as well.

Kath, take Beijing Subway Line 14, Zaoying station. Head to the Northwest exit. Solana is just a few meters away from this station. Hope it can helps. Enjoy!
