Enjoyed as both an artist and audience member. Good stage, sound, sight lines; friendly. Interesting range of world music artists. In one of the older neighbourhoods of Beijing.

Came to see a live jazz mini concert. Not easy to locate. Great ambience. Ticket price was more reasonable. Of course the level of comfort could not match with that offered at Bluenote Beijing. Perfect for a causal chill out.

This is awesome venu for Live music. Last performance I was to was for The Hot Club Of Beijing and had an incredible night. Beautiful music, danced and enjoyed life for few hours.
If you love music this is a place for you, every month is full of events and you will certainly find a concert, artist that suits your music choice. Just check their official account and find what you want to see.
If you get your ticket in advance you can save up 10/15 Yuan. There are cool concerts coming for end of November and whole December.
Drinks can be a bit pricey, but they often have some offers with descent prices.

Located in the middle of houtongs this cosy jazz bar hosts live jazz evenings on a regular basis. Nice ambience, great music and friendly staff

I've been in China for 5 months, and recently had the chance to visit beijing, I found out about DDC my second night there, the vibe of this place is something I have yet to find somewhere else in China, reminds me of the alternative scene back home in Mexico. 60 RMB entrance fee( not sure if that's the price every night) Great music, I saw two bands, a Chinese spoken word/rap artist, and more importantly, I saw authentic (Not mass produced, pop consuming) Chinese Young People.

类似livehouse 但又比livehouse功能丰富许多通风极好 环境超棒 来的乐队也都比较小众 是很适合青年旅行者感受北京夜生活的地方 酒也很不错 饮料比较少

I lived in other parts of China and came to Beijing mostly as a tourist (so I don't know the music scene too well in the area). Nevertheless, I thought this place was great! Music was entirely different from anything else I've heard in China (especially compared to the 2nd tier cities). Definitely would recommend this place for people trying out something new.

I was not sure whether to go to this bar or not, I have been living in China for 3 years and I try to visit new places. Both my wife and I loved it, unique experience, in the middle of hutongs, great beer, excellent live music. I recommend it. I will definetely go back later. 40 RMB entrance fee. Beer between 20-40 RMB a bottle/glass.

Having lived in Shanghai and Jiangsu for almost five years, I always look forward to my trips to the capital. This time, I was up north as part of Emma Pollock's tour of China. The previous night, was an acoustic show at 69 Cafe, which sadly has no entry here. This night in question was a full band show, and was excellent. I was worried about some buzzing from one of the roof-mounted speakers, but in the end, "mai wenti" due to chattering from the crowd. Craft beer in Beijing is noticably cheaper than both Shanghai and even Jiangsu, and DDC is no exception- RMB 30 for bottles of American imports. I'll "gan bei" to that!

This newly opened courtyard livehouse is one of the better places for music in Beijing these days.
Good setting, interesting drinks (pricy) and amazing sound.
Two complaints i've had so far are:
1- it's hard to find
2- irregular programming and practices. sometimes, there is a cover, sometimes there is no cover. Sometimes there is a cover that gets you a drink. It's all very irregular.
Still great new little place.
