‪Amazing and authentic cultural experience‬

‪Amazing class, brilliant learnings and great fun. Mr Sun is a master artist and was so open to sharing his immense skills with us. Our water colour artworks were successful! Richard as assistant (who is incidentally a specialist calligrapher and teacher) was a fantastic host who ensured we had a fabulous afternoon. Absolutely recommended as an authentic cultural experience that is fun to boot.‬

‪it was such a good day and lesson. we got an amazing experience of drawing the Chinese character "dragon". it is a great art and huge work. I recommend Richard Lee's lessons to everyone. thank you very much! we will take with us as a souvenir of China the symbols we personally painted. this is amazing.‬

‪Wonderful class‬

‪My husband and I took the summer palace calligraphy class with Richard Li. It was an amazing experience! Mr. Li started with breathing and relaxation and then guided us through brush techniques and finally taught us the symbols for "dragon" which we practiced until he was satisfied. At the end of the class we were able to write the calligraphy on nice paper which made a wonderful memento. He was also kind enough to take some photos of us. I can't recommend this experience enough! It's definitely something I'd like to learn more of in the future.‬

‪Unexpected Discovery‬

‪During my stay for business reason, I came across his workshop. He took the time to explain me tons of things about calligraphy. It was very interesting. I didn't take any lesson though, due to my busy schedule.‬

‪Try the Painting Class!‬

‪I work in Beijing, and when my family came to visit, I arranged a 3-hour painting class with Richard. Both my sixteen year-old cousin and 60 year-old mother greatly enjoyed the workshop. They found Richard's class informative and inspiring. My family felt the experience of discovering what it means to paint with the entire body and mind was inspiring. After class, he had lunch with my family and helped them get a taxi back to their hotel. This was incredibly helpful to me, because I was at work. All in all, my cousin and mother found Richard kind and passionate, and we all recommend Richard's classes.‬

‪Cours en last minute‬

‪Nous avons réservé le cours en dernière minute car il nous restait du temps avant notre vol retour. Richard a été très réactif et nous a concocté un petit cours sur mesure en fonction de notre budget. Le cours était très relaxant et instructif. Je recommande vivement!‬

‪Brilliant Experience‬

‪The session was very educational, I didn’t realise how much of an art there is to Calligraphy until now. The teacher was very knowledgable and taught me everything; I managed to pick it up. If you want to get a step closer to experiencing chinese culture, I strongly recommend this class, I learnt a lot and enjoyed every minute of it. Something different yet something fun.

‪Excellent calligraphy class!‬

‪During my stay in Beijing I was looking for somewhere that would offer me a deeper dive into Chinese culture and Richard’s calligraphy lessons did not disappoint. This was exactly the London of place I was looking for and Richard was patient, highly skilled and very knowledgeable. I will be revisiting next time I’m in Beijing!‬
