The 298 Computer Zone is located near the Hennessy and Johnston Road Intersection in Wanchai. This is a multiple storey, low-rent arcade setup with tightly packed floors, lined with computer, parts, accessories, hardware, games and other electronic gadgets. You'll find computer and mobile repair shops as well. It is similar to the Wanchai Computer Centre just down the street as well as computer arcades in Mongkok and Sham Shui Po.
Shops are open generally open from 10am to 9pm. You can browse more freely on weekdays and earlier in the day. On the other hand it can get rather busy on weekends. Remember, prices can be noticeably lower in places like 298 but you get what you pay for and forget about return policies.

昨晚3/4/2020去298電腦特區買完模型，然後去買電腦零件舖查詢DDR3 R竹am卡，我要求買8GB，店員轉身在櫃桶搜尋兩塊顏色不同的ram卡，收$500。回家試五次不成功就抬部電腦出去試，店員好離譜去開機關機，未完全插好ram卡就開機，之後我朋友見到此店根本係將舊電腦零件拆開，等不熟悉電腦的人士（水魚）上當（中伏）

...but the prices were just the same as Sham Shui Po and it’s a very ‘Hong Kong’-type arcade to negotiate your way around (as a ‘sight’ I suppose), without having to head all the way up to the aforementioned SSP or even Shenzhen. It would have been nice to have some games shops for variation but this is definitely the place to come on HK Island for any tech needs you might have.

While anything electronic is there, it is a bit crowded, with narrow walkways and poorly marked exits

依度同灣仔電腦城一樣都係賣電子野，但佢同地鐵站有少少遠，而且入面比較迫亦比較殘舊，所以我都好少會過嚟行。

Ha god tid, der er tre etager med små boder og start på 3. etage her er priserne billigst. Det er dog rart at gå der med børn da stedet ikke er fyldt op, og de er imødekommende og uden at være anmassende. Mange lokale handler der. Faktisk så vi ikke en eneste turist.

Lots of shops selling computer stuff, mobile phone stuff and of course gaming stuff.
Worth a visit if you're in Wanchai, prices are cheaper at Sham Shui Po, but worht a look if you're in the area.
