Waiting for the elevator is so frustrating. They should really fix this.
If you come here, it's better to visit on weekday, since it is less crowded.

Claimed as the highest library in South East Asia, I really love this place! This library is useful especially for us as a college students. The wifi is also fast tho. But sometimes, there are some books that you are not allowed to read because this on a deposit book on 12th floor (I'm not sure why).

The new National library has been opened two years ago. Situated in front of the main Merdeka Square is like an oasis within the hot and crowed citty of Jakarta. Go to the rooftop for a amazing view of the city.

国立図書館ですが、モナスの南側にあります。
立派な建物の図書館です。入口を入るとクロークがあり荷物を持っている人は、ここで預けなければいけません！
そしてエントランスロビーの吹き抜けには、本棚があります。これは、スゴイですね！（見どころでもあります！）
図書館ですから本を読んでも良いのですが、資料館みたいな展示もあるので楽しめます。

The library officially opened September 2016, but i just got a chance to visit this awesome place. At the front you wl entering ‘Graha Literasi’ which is a cultural heritage building. In there you’ll find a small but very neat museum, including 4 rooms of literacy. At the back of this building you’ll find a tall building, that’s the national library. You can keep your belongings at the locker room at the lobby area, and if needed you can borrow a clear plastic bag for laptops, and it’s all free of charge. On the second floor you can sign up for a library card member, self fill-in your information on the computers then print your queue number for photo n card.
On the fourth floor there’s a modest cafeteria. This building has 24 floor and the top floor you can go out to the balcony with an awesome view of the Monument National. Other than regular books, there’re many other great things you can find in the same building, such as photos, maps, multi media rooms, audio visual rooms, magazines etc. on the 7th floor there’s a comfortable children room. It also provides a room for disabled people.
One day is definitely not enough to visit the library

Jika anda adalah kutu buku sejati, sebaiknya anda ke PNRI Medan Merdeka Selatan. Perpustakaan Nasional RI memiliki gedung PNRI Salemba, gedung berwarna pastel di kawasan Salemba, yang sekarang dikhususkan untuk deposit surat kabar lawas.
Walaupun isi gedungnya bagus, tetapi anda harus membuat kartu keanggotaan untuk mengakses keseluruhan isi bangunan, mulai dari membaca buku koleksi perpustakaan hingga surat kabar langka yang sudah dimikrofilm atau belum masuk mikrofilm. Pelayanan ramah, kantin murah, suasana nyaman dan modern, ada layanan internet nirkabel, namun kafe lantai 1 di PNRI Merdeka Selatan cukup mahal.
Walaupun isi gedungnya bagus, tetapi anda harus membuat kartu keanggotaan untuk mengakses keseluruhan isi bangunan, mulai dari membaca buku koleksi perpustakaan hingga surat kabar langka yang sudah dimikrofilm atau belum masuk mikrofilm. Sudah lama sekali pengen mampir kesini. Baru berkesempatan mampir tadi sore. Sayangnya kami tiba agak kesorean jadinya hanya sempat berkutat di Lantai 7 dan melongok lantai 24 saja (menikmati panorama Monas dari angle yang berbeda). Padahal sebagai penggemar literatur banyak lantai-lantai lain yang layak dieksplorasi. Untuk kunjungan berikutnya nanti saya berencana akan datang lebih pagi biar puas menikmati perpusatakaan tertinggi di dunia yang mengagumkan ini. Mulai dari lobby yang wah dan informatif, interior yang modern dan super keren, fasilitas yang nyaman dan canggih hingga kesigapan para staf yang bertugas. Benar- benar bikin berdecak kagum.

Perpustakaan nasional... sangat nyaman untuk di kunjungi bersama keluarga...di sana terdapat ruang untuk anak-anak.... sangat beragam buku bacaan.. mulai dari dongeng Nusantara, dongeng internasional,sampai dinosaurus.. kebetulan anakku yg masih SD suka banget buku dinosaurus...bukunya bagus, kwalitas printingnya pun bagus... sangat antusias untuk membacanya...adapula komputer..saat ini masih berisi pembelajaran sekolah Yach... mudah mudahan bisa d kembangkan ya...aamiin.
Nah.. buat ortu yg menemani ga usah kwatir... insyaallah di sana betah.. untuk mushola pun ada .. jadi makin betah ya.. mushola sederhana tapi nyaman dan sangat bersih... sukses selalu ya buat perpustakaan nasional 😍😍😍

Baru pertama kalo datang ke perpustakaan nasional. Keren banget interiornya dan fasilitasnya lengkap. Masuknya tidak perlu biaya dan untuk membuat kartu anggota pun gratis. Disini ada 24 lantai yang terdiri dari beberapa bagian, mulai dari ruang baca, ruang audio sampai ruangan pertemuan untuk komunitas, tidak lupa tersedia kantin dan cafe di dalamnya. Nice

Yes, but not all of the floors that are open to public have windows facing monas. On clear days, you can even see the sea in the north of Jakarta.
