Sasmita Loka Ahmad Yani is one of the museum that taking place at the General Ahmad Yani House in Menteng. It is the history witnesses of September 30th Action by PKI. It is not a big house actually, typical government elite house, 1 floor but have large area.
The entry door is from the back, of the house. You have to take off your shoes when you want to come in. So make sure you wear something that easy to take off :)
From the entry door, you can see like a bulletin glass boards, inside are old pictures not only Pak Ahmad Yani but other generals also. The photos from the crime scenes inside the house, at Lubang Buaya and the morgues. There also picture from Pak Ahmad Yani private collections when he's still on duty, serving the country.
Next we will go inside the house through the hallway, which is the hallway itself is a crime scene, where PKI brought Pak Ahmad Yani's body.
Inside the house there's an air conditioner in the dining room, so it's a little bit cold :) you can take pictures in the dining room. You can go to the living room and taking picture there.
You can go the bedroom where there was Pak Ahmad Yani private belonging, and also the gun that shot the general.
Since the tragedy happen in the house, you can feel the energy inside this museum is full of sadness.
There's also a room with other generals belonging in here.
There's no ticket box in here, they just put box where you can give money in any value as you want.

Museum ini dikenal juga dengan museum Ahmad Yani. Museum ini merupakan rumah pribadi sang jendral, yang menjadi saksi bisu kekejaman PKI ketika menculik dan menembak sang jendral di rumahnya. Koleksi museum ini merupakan koleksi pribadi jendral Ahmad Yani.

Museum Sasmita Loka sangat terawat walaupun suasananya seram, museum ini merupakan rumah asli dan tempat kejadian terbunuhnya Jenderal Ahmad Yani, salah satu korban G30S/PKI

Masuk museum suasana sepi sekali, namun cukup terawat. Kita masuk melalui pintu belakang dengan melepas alas kaki, di ruangan pertama ada banyak foto sejarah termpampang, sebelum masuk ada mobil ford impala masih mulus. Suasana museum sangat terasa atmosfir masa lalu, seru sedikit serem kalo sendirian disana. Jadi ajakin temen ya kalo bisa.

午前中のまだ早い時間に訪れたので私が最初の訪問者だったようです。それなのでスタッフの方が館内でカメラのシャッターを押してくれました。とてもうれしかったです。
軍事的な博物館ですので等身大の人形には、驚くような場面もあります。武器とか身近に見るとちょっと恐怖を覚えますね！
入口に入場料（寄付）を入れるボックスがありますのでそこに入れるような感じです！
見る価値は、ありますよ！

This museum is worth a look and should be on every history-hungry traveler's itinerary. Be warned, English explanations are in short supply here. Best bring along a Bahasa Indonesia speaking friend or guide.

Un pequeño museo que es interesante ubicado en el área central de la ciudad es una casa transformada en la historia de una persona que es muy importante para la gente local del país vale la pena visitarlo no toma más de 15 minutos

As discussed before - this is not a museum for Ahmad Yani but instead for the other General Abdul Haris Nasution. This was originally Pak Nasution's private house and now become the museum. Since this is a house - you'll see like living room, bedroom, kitchen and his daughter bed room - Ade Irma Suryani. However, there were exhibits that show the 30 September coup ops. If you're really into history - you must visit this museum. There are tour guide (which I assume is a military officer as he wears military outfit) will explain and give insights about what happened on 30 September 1965.
Came with my daughter and she enjoyed the experience. Although she may not understand the whole story - but she picked few stories about 30 September coup ops.
