You don’t need to book a tour to go here. Just rent a motorcycle for 400 php/day and ride there. The entrance fee is super cheap, only 60 php/per. The tour guides are super friendly and knowledgeable about insects. The garden is beautiful to walk through. Of course it can’t compare with anything in the western world for obvious reasons. If you want to see a better butterfly garden then donate more money to this place for them to improve their facilities. The entrance fee of 60 pesos is nothing to help run the place. If you want to help the tribal people then donate your money to them. They’re there to hopefully make a living whether they like it or not. Just like any jobs, you do what you have to do to make a living whether to be a clown or a performer as long as you can earn some money to feed yourself and hopefully your family too.

The butterfly park was nice, but common as many countries have them. The cultural village was interesting as the tribal people takes turn to come down from their jungle village to showcase their tribe to the public to earn some money

This was something different to see. First we went up to the tribal village and watched some demonstrations by them which was cool. Then they offered photos with them but I didn't really feel comfy doing it or with their pet python. The butterfly enclosure was nice and there's afew other animals you can walk around and see.

The butterflies flutters around the park, while its natural predators like lizards and snakes are caged in glasses. The park also features crocodiles, pigs, bear and many other indigenous wildlife species.
The best part was the demonstration of the Palawan tribal life. The natural smile in the face of the indigenous people, who made Palawan island as their home thousand years ago,is priceless. Having their pet python around my neck was thrilling.
The products on display is largely to help their livelihoods. The entrance ticket is 50 pesos. This is a must-visit spot in Puerto Princesa.

Beautiful butterflies but this place is a small zoo. Not sure about the local family as part of the zoo, living in a mock up village! Couldn't quite get my head round this?

Very pleasant gardens with lovely butterflies and cartoon natives. I suppose this is a way of generating income. Enjoyable.

We went here after going to bakers hill, because it was close.
50 pesos entry and we had a short tour around the small enclosure, but it's such a lovely place! Amazingly they have local indigenous Palawan people, and they show some of their traditional crafts and musical instruments, and show some skills like making fire and shooting blow darts.
This felt like an absolute gem of a place, and while the butterfly's were amazing, they also had bearcats, (a real thing!) Scorpions geckos, some different insects and snakes.
If you're close, I recommend going, it won't take more than an hour and you'll be glad you went.
I suggest you buy something or put some money in the tip box, it's so cheap and the money goes to support the indigenous communities.

Locals call it Butterfly Garden so we thought it was all-butterfly inside. We even refused the offer of our tour guide to visit this place. We were supposed to go to the Crocodile Farm but since it was closed for the holiday, we rerouted here.
We were welcomed with a photo session, and given the option of paying for the photos that would show that we've been here and held butterflies on our palms (edited of course).
We did not bother see the butterflies as we were more interested in seeing the bearcats and other caged forest animals that were rescued. We were also enthralled with the different kinds of anthropodes and insects that were displayed on open cages wherein tourists can dare touch and hold.
We get to meet one of the indigenous tribes from the south of Palawan, the Palaw'an Tribe. They performed their crafts and music in front of us and we get pose with them in their spears and arrows, as well as, hold their pet python and sat in front of their huts
A must-see in Puerta Princesa indeed
