‪Chinese Gardens Still Closed

We were on a very long cycle ride so disappointed to find the Chinese gardens still closed. Signs say work will complete this year but there still looks like a lot to do.
As mentioned elsewhere if you alight at Lakeside MRT you can visit Jurong Lakeside gardens. Much smaller but still worth a visit‬

‪Enjoy a relaxing stroll through these enchanting gardens‬

‪Easy to access via the SMRT, these gardens are peaceful relaxing to stroll through. The Chinese side has a beautiful towering pagoda, an abandoned teahouse, and a huge stone boat (like the Empress’s in Beijing). All of these are set around a lovely lake, with manicured lawns, flowers, plants, and trees everywhere. We also saw a large monitor lizard strolling along the shoreline of the adjoining river. Next came a whimsical garden with statues of the animals of the Chinese zodiac and a bonsai garden with a variety of house, bridge, and temple-like structures that formed a lovely enclosed courtyard. It was a wonderful experience.‬

‪Chinese & Japanese Gardens (undergoing refurbishment)‬

‪The Chinese & Japanese gardens unfortunately are undergoing major renovation works at the moment (due for completion June 2021) So only a small section was open to visit! The lake area is still worth the visit as it has a lovely walking route around the area. You’ll be able to see the variety of fauna and wildlife within the lake area ‬

‪Helaas was het Japanse en Chineese gedeelte gesloten ivm bouwwerkzaamheden. Blijft toch wel een mooi park over, Lakeside. Geen entreekosten. Goed bereikbaar met MRT. Als je even weg wil van het centrum is dut een mooie gelegenheid‬

‪The Gardens Are Closed for Renovations‬

‪Was quite a long Grab ride from Orchard Road to discover that, although there are lovely lakeside walks still open, the Chinese and Japanese Gardens are closed for quite a while longer while they undergo renovations.‬

‪The renovated Gardens look fabulous and great for a kids and family for a day out.

The walking paths and view point decks were so scenic.The garden now houses a variety if trees and also houses many artistic statues..

Morning walkers-best walk paths for you..

‪Saat kami sampai di lokasi Taman China dan Jepang yang ada di Jurong, betapa terkejutnya kami karena taman ini di tutup untuk direnovasi yang diperkirakan selesai pada tahun 2021, yah kecewa deh!‬
