The Porta di Pietra (Kamenita Vrata) is one of the old gates of the middle-age walls of Zagreb. It includes as well a chapel and a shrine showing a painting of Mary with infant Jesus.
It was built between 1242-1266 and was renovated in the 18th century. This is what we see today.
Try not to miss it while you're strolling the Old city, it is beautiful and worth your time.

This is the only surviving gate of the mediaeval fortifications of Zagreb. It’s also the location of a chapel with the shrine of our lady of the Stone Gate housing the painting of Mary with infant Jesus. The shrine miraculously survived a 17th-century fire and is now protected by an iron fence.

過去の火災でも遺ったこともあり、クロアチア人にとって神聖な場所になっている。写真はOKだがフラッシュは不可。数分滞在しただけだったが、３組の方が祈りをささげに訪れていた。

There's so much to see in the Upper Town ,one site that surprised me by it's beauty was Porta Di Pietre ( Kamenita Vrata ) .
Kamenita Vrata ( The Stone Gate ) was constructed between 1242-1266 but only got it's look we see today in the 18th century ,the medieval gate once guarded the Upper Town ,there's a beautiful chapel in here to the cult of Mary ,all in all it's a great gateway and chapel to check out if you're in the Upper Town.

This stone gate was built in 13th century as one of four main gates leading to the town. Inside you’ll find a shrine to the Virgin Mary which miraculously survived a 17th-century fire. It’s the perfect place for quiet reflection and seems very popular with locals.

The famous stone gate of the City of Zagreb. Don’t take this gate so simple because it is the entrance of many more super structures in the city.

Hay que ver la puerta que se salvó de un gran incendio en la ciudad, seas o no religioso. Hoy en ella los croatas van a pedir sus deseos a la virgen María.

ZAGREB - Esse portal de pedra é uma das ligações cidade alta/baixa. A lenda diz que a pintura da Virgem sobreviveu a um incêndio em 1731 e ali foi erguido o altar em homenagem a Virgem do Portão de Pedra.

The Stone Gate ("kamenita vrata") was built during the 13th century, and at the end of the 18th century it got the current look. What is unexpected is that inside the gate there is a shrine to the Virgin Mary.
