Il pozzo della vita è una scultura presente al lato del Teatro dell’Opera in pieno centro città a Zagabria. Si trova in un’area molto ampia, con dei prati curatissimi. La scultura rappresenta delle persone (uomini, bambini e anziani) che si accingono a prendere acqua da un pozzo stringendosi gli uni attorno agli altri, portando così un messaggio di fratellanza universale. È un’opera che ha catturato la mia attenzione e su cui ho posato i miei occhi per qualche minuto con piacere e concentrazione. Avrei giusto apprezzato di sicuro se ci fosse stata una placca esplicativa con le informazioni sull’opera e l’autore.

Bij de wandeling langs de grote stadsparken in het horse shoe circuit kom je langs deze fontein of kunstwerk.

Ivan Mestrovic created this beautiful well in bronze in 1905. It sits in front of the majestic National Theatre.
There is a sitting area around the well with great views. Nice place to relax and take a drink with you. Hope to return today as the weather is a little cooler.

It is located right in front of the Croatian National Theater. This is the first masterpiece by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović. Created in 1905. There is also a space to sit around the monument.

Somewhat hard to find, but we looked around the National Theater and finally saw it. It's got a cool design, and the perfect name for it.

Realizzazione dei primi del 900 dello scultore Ivan Mestrovic. Passa quasi inosservata nella grandiosità della piazza del Maresciallo Tito. Sembra una fontana anche se in realtà è un catino colmo d'acqua avvolto da corpi umani che lo circondano completamente. Un'opera interessante!

Nearly missed this because it is hidden from view within a sunken area. The detail surrounding it makes it worth a short detour to see.

Devant le théâtre national, on manque de passer à côté sans la voir puisqu'elle se trouve enterrée dans un cercle servant de bancs publics. Sinon l'oeuvre de celui qui est considéré comme l'un des plus grands artistes Croates est assez riquiqui même si les visages des personnages sont tout à fait expressifs

Der Lebensbrunnen vor dem Nationaltheater ist von der Straße her nicht zu sehen, da er sich in einer Vertiefung befindet. Daher ist vorab eine kleine Suche nötig. Die Gesichtszüge der Menschen strahlen allerlei Emotionen aus... von Liebe bis zu Leid. Der Brunnen lädt zum Verweilen ein und ist auch Abends bei Einheimischen ein beliebter Ort zum sitzen, lesen und plaudern.

this was a monumental war statue; can't remember all the details on our 1 hr. bus tour of this gorgeous city! so much to view.
