‪after seeing the beautiful giant fig trees wander in to the hundred acre reserve for a nice walk to the coastal reserve. it was a pretty easy walk but there are some steep sections and stairs at the end. we went after rain so you did need good walking shoes. the track leads out to the coastline and of course just like the rest of norfolk you come to beautiful views. lots of birdlife to watch. along the way you can see huge norfolks and tree ferns, felt like we were in the land of the giant tree movie ( if there were ever a movie !)‬

‪Good walking area, little steep in some areas, but all the baby birds nesting on the ground were amazing to see so cute. Great lookout at the top‬

‪This is a small and beautiful coastal reserve, well worth a visit. (We liked it so much we visited twice). It features a walking track circuit of about 2 km and its entrance on the New Farm Road is very close to some majestic Moreton Bay figs with massive buttress roots. They're worth a look in themselves. There are more impressive Moreton Bay figs within in the reserve as well as towering NI pines and tree ferns, also reaching for the sky. The track touches the coastline where there are lovely views and lots of birdlife overhead including many Red-tailed Tropicbirds, In the forest we saw White Terns, Black Noddies, a family of feral chickens and a perky Fantail. The return part of the track is steep and could be slippery after rain. Luckily, it was not too bad when we walked but it would definitely pay to care on this section.‬

‪Park near the Homestead Restaurant and do the loop. Fairly easy walk but some steep sections if you have mobility issues. A great walk through the woods and along the cliff edge. This reserve is unique to the Island as it has not been impacted by cattle (or in turn by the introduced plant species they spread in their manure). I didn't find Winnie the Pooh though.‬

‪Parking under the Norfolk Pines near the Homestead Restuarant, there are two entrances for this loop trail, either entrance or clockwise/anticlockwise works. Two kilometres in total, you could go out and back, but doing the loop shows the diversity of trees and vegetation the reserve has to offer. The tallest tree fern on the planet is said to be here, not marked but there are plenty to choose from. Loads of nesting and flying birds as well. Halfway point provides more great coastline and ocen views. Is steep in parts but plenty of places to stop and rest. We are of medium fitness and were not extended. Taking in the sights over 2 kilometres took around 40 minutes.‬

‪A great little walk through the forest, with a few scenic lookouts, lots of interesting birds to see along the way.
I wouldn't want to do it if it had been raining, due to the mud becoming slippery but this wasn't an issue for us as it was a beautiful day.
The huge trees are amazing but you don't have to do the walk to see them as they are in the road side at the start of the walk. ‬

‪The reserve provides a beautiful walking track which takes you through the forest and to the cliff tops and back. The first part is flat and easy. There are then signs before the 2km walk to the cliff warning of steepness. There are good steps in some parts but in some it is a muddy slope. It is not particularly difficult but I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues. It was dry when we were there but they warn against going when it is really wet. The track is a loop, but whichever way you go there are some slopes. There are some amazing old trees, lots of bird life and spectacular views from the cliff tops. We spent about 45 mins taking our time with the walk but you could do it a lot quicker if you wanted to. Near the entrance there is a row of very old and incredibly large fig trees which are also worth spending time at. Really enjoyed this walk.‬

‪We spent two hours on this 2km walk stopping a lot to appreciate the beautiful forest and then the cliff views. Watched teens feeding their young. Tropic birds sailing the winds. And the rugged cliffs pounded by the ocean. An absolute must do‬

‪Damp pathways with some steep muddy sections both ways, did not stop my appreciation for the view from the cliff. Conveniently placed seating allowed you time to quietly contemplate the scenery.‬

‪This place is so peaceful but was extremely wet underfoot due to all the rain. We went there twice during out stay. Just beautiful.‬
