Reflections is a lovely small shop opposite the bank. A must-visit for anyone interested in sewing, quilting, crafts, art. Some local artists sell their creations in this shop. The staff are very helpful. They sell essential oils and on one visit the most wonderful fragrance permeated the store.

Upsides. Australian history is a great insight. Beautiful countryside. You have to hire a car so nice to drive around. Downsides. Not much choice for swimming beaches. No air con on island. Can be extremely humid.

We absolutely loved our week on Norfolk Island in March .The people are so friendly ,and the scenery is spectacular. It’s the perfect place for a safe, happy and interesting holiday . The complicated history of the island is amazing . We stayed at Castaway units and were spoilt with the hospitality of the owners,the food , and the accomodation .

I would thoroughly recommend Norfolk Island for a week`s holiday . The weather was pleasantly warm, as are the people, and the island is safe and welcoming with beautiful scenery, especially the Norfolk Pines. It is stacked with history and there are many tours available with knowledgable local guides. Food is more expensive than Australia, but shoe shopping of top brands is cheaper. There is plenty of accommodation to choose from.

wow! what a selection of terrific goods to look at, then buy if you wish. No pressure put on you. But helpful staff - and modern fresh decor - great on any high street!

This little shop had everything! For those who like to buy a piece of fabric from wherever they visit, Reflections had some lovely prints, however, as you could understand not a massive range. Their gift range was excellent and different and the staff were very friendly and chatty. I would thoroughly recommend this shop to all Norfolk Island travellers

A beautiful week on the beautifully rugged, unpretentious Norfolk. So much scenery, many drives, lovely restaurants, lovely locals, so much very interesting history. Above all the ruins of the island way outdo Port Arthur in Tasmania. We stayed at the Crest Apartments, a group of about 11 just up the hill from Kingston, the historical area, a view of Phillip and Nepean Islands from the corner of land with BBQ. There was a full sized fridge, stove, fully equipped kitchen, laundry & clothes line. Only a short drive into town. I may have chosen Governor's Lodge, closer to town, but a rabbit warren of units, losing a bit of the atmosphere of Norfolk. TIPS: Take the option of the extra $15 for unlimited kms on hire car. We did 320 kms in a week. Buy museum pass for $25 for the 4 museums at Kingston from the Information Centre or at the museums. Otherwise $10 each museum. Well worth it, plus you get to go on the very informative Tag along Tours at 9.30 Weds & Sat. Two on each of those days. Open to public at 11. I booked online before we left. The 3 must do restaurants. Was told I had chosen well. Hilli's, The Jolly Roger with the wonderful owner, Matt, whom every night, check opening days, is the best guitarist, singer & host. Made me feel like a special guest. The other- Dino's on Bumboras. Need your Jason,s map ordered online for free before you leave. All amazing experiences & great dining. Also lunched at Governors Lodge- $10 special & dinner - 3 courses for $20 between 5-6pm. Didn't do that, but a lovely dinner & decor. Another must is Bedrock Cafe set alone above a rugged coast with amazing views , atmosphere & food. Olive Cafe in town is nice for brekkie, lunch or coffee. No need to stay in town. Main Street is quite strung out. I bought Birkenstocks for $99 instead of $130 or more. Went to small markets, Sat & Sun in town. Bought lovely photo of the Lone Norfolk Pine, same one as sketched by Captain Cooks crew. Nice French croissants there too at stall. Must do - Cyclorama, next to Hilli's, over the rd from Governors Lodge. Spectacular 360 degree painting of the Bounty's voyage. Amazingly beautiful. Look at the gardens and the tribute pergola to Queen Victoria. Drive to Puppy's Point, Anson Bay, Cascade Pier, Ball Bay. And I spent a lovely time at Emily Bay, the only safe, crystal clear water beach. Can snorkel if you can get gear. Queen Elizabeth Lookout is a good view. If you don't have the half day tour with Pinetree's Tour, check out St Barnabas Church near Douglas & Headstone Reds. Always open. Take a picnic to one of the scenic bays. I packed coffee, teabags, sugar, muesli. Prices at the Mall Supermarket prices understandably are high. UHT milk is the go. Our apartment only had a couple of days supply of tea, etc. Duty free spirits at Bottle Shop. Take your passport & air tickets. Must see the Gallery upstairs at the Mall. Excellent. I researched well before I left & great advice from Trip Advisor. I lost my water bottle. A few days later I returned to museums. Ladies phoned around & found it at Cyclorama. So obliging. So cheap. We booked with Spacifica. Great. Package with airfares, accom, hire car & insurance, a dinner & a few tours. We, like most others are are couple in their 60's, 70,s. Would highly recommend this Trip to anyone. So many connections to Australia. And tour the cemetery & see Colleen Mc Coullagh,s grave & all the Bounty mutineers who took Tahitian wives. Buffets, Christians, Fletcher etc.

It is good to see Reflections open again. They have a great range of materials and other little gifts. I would like to see some Embroidery cottons as well though!

Rowena and the staff here are wonderful. I left with more quilting fabric and some perfect potions to keep me going. Attentive staff and well set out shop.

This was a surprise to see this store. Beautiful patchwork quilts . One made by a group of ladies from NZ and Aust in 2009. I really l9kd the one of Norfolk made by the owner of the store.
I could not buy anything as I was limited with luggage but if you feel crafty on your holiday this is the store to visit. I loved the window display. Just so different.
