“‪Kotor Clock Tower‬”

‪أحد رموز كوتور. يقع في Trg od Oru؟ ja (The Arms Square ، الساحة الرئيسية التي تدخلها عندما تأخذ بوابة البحر) تم بناء البرج في عام 1602. لم تنته عندما وقع الزلزال في عام 1667 وبسبب هذا الزلزال يميل البرج نحو الغرب. عدة محاولات لإعادة وضعها في وضع مستقيم حيث تم ذلك ولكن بعد زلزال عام 1979 عادت إلى نفس الموقف. تقف سادة من القرون الوسطى أعيد بناؤها أمام البرج.‬

‪Standing Against Earthquakes‬

‪When you enter the old city from main gate (Sea Gate) this beautiful symbol of Kotor welcomes you on The Arms Square. It started to built in 1602, unfortunately tower was not finished when the first earthquake in 1667. After the earthquake the Tower inclined towards the west, and after the 1979 earthquake it returned to the same position again although it was fixed between 2 earthquakes.‬

‪Che bella questa torre, che bella questa piazza, molto scenografica anche grazie alla presenza delle montagne che la circondano. La piazza antistante è molto vivace, anche perché accessibile direttamente dalla porta principale della città.‬

‪Every old town has a clock tower (IMHO) and this one dates back to 1602. There is a lower level (subterranean) to the tower's upper floors. It was in this lower level the tower that the reinforcements were added after the 1979 earthquake caused destabilization.

The pillory in front of the tower would have made a spectacle out of offenders who were chained to the pillory as their punishment (and were subject to abuse).

From the tower, 4 major streets go in 4 directions. Find this treasure in the Square of Arms.‬

‪Mechanisches Uhrwerk‬

‪Die Uhren vom alten Turm sind mechanisch und müssen wöchentlich per Hand aufgezogen werden. Das wird traditionell seit Generationen von einer Familie gemacht, die den Schlüssel für die kleine Holztür unten haben. Der Turm ist auch durch die zwei Erdbeben etwas in Schieflage geraten. Auf der Turmvorderseite befindet sich eine kleine quadratische Säule mit zylindrischen Türmchen auf einem Sockel. Mahnmal der Schande. Hier wurden im Mittelalter Menschen daran festgekettet, die sich etwas zu Schulden kommen lassen hatten. Verbrecher, Diebe etc. Diese wurden dann von der Bevölkerung drei Tage lang mit Eiern und Tomaten beworfen. Danch konnten sie Kotor verlassen.‬

‪Datada do século XVII, a Torre do Relógio na praça das armas necessitaria, no meu entender, de uma limpeza própria para este tipo de construção.
Em frente à torre existe um pequeno monumento medieval, também ele reconstruído.‬

‪Harika bir yer. İnsan eski zamanlara gidiyor. Kesinlikle gidilmesi görülmesi gereken yerler. Balkan turu ile gidiyorsanız ziyaret saatiniz az oluyor yetmiyor. Ayrıca butik Kotor-Budva yapılabilir.‬

‪Très belle horloge passé la porte près du marché ( moins cher que les supermarchés)
Hélas comme dans toute la vieille ville il vous faudra regarder en l air pour ne pas subir l envahissement des commerces au niveau de la place et des rues avoisinantes‬

‪A feature in the old Town‬

‪Tuesday 14th June we visited the Old Town of Kotor where this Clock Tower is located in the Square of the Arms.

It was one of the first sights we saw as we entered Kotor through main Sea Gate

The grey stone, three storey tower was built in 1692. There is a working clock face on two sides of the tower.

Standing in front of the tower is a small stone obelisk. It was once used as a pillar of shame as criminals were once tied to for punishment.

Above the obelisk on the front of the tower is an ornate coat of arms which belonged to the family of a Montenegrin prince when the tower was built.‬

‪Με το που μπαίνεις από την Sea Gate πέφτεις πανω του. Εντυπωσιακό και όμορφο. Η πλατεία καταπληκτική με πολλά καφέ. Έχει δίπλα και ένα παλάτι μη επισκέψιμο ιστορικά. ‬
