High court of Sindh at Karachi is one of very few well maintained preserved heritage building of Karachi.
It consists of a main centrally placed impressive G+2 floor building used as courts, Judges chambers, library, Nazirs office etc with three ancillary buildings and few ground floor structures some of them used as court and rest for other purposes.
The main building was built in 1929 with reddish tinged Jodhpur/Jaipur stone in Renaissance architecture having beautiful and spacious corridors balconies and high roofs. The main building has two old lifts and three open well staircases strategically planned one in the middle and two on corners.
The Ionic & doric huge 6 columns reminds of civilised Roman house of justice adds grandeur to the building.
This is one of the best preserved protected heritage building of Karachi.
It's a must see to understand Architecture of colonial times which was quite different than today's.
It is located in saddar area and a must see. Tourist can visit 8:30 till 5:00 Monday to Saturday without any ticket or permission.
If any one wants to watch court proceedings it's so easy. Please visit any of the court from Mon to Fri 8:30AM to 1:30PM.

All most ever day I have to attend cases here being a Lawyer. Initially there was only main building which was built up by British its one of the historical heritage since due to lack of space additional buildings/ blocks are built up not to same architect but still better then other government offices.

Административное здание Высокого суда. На него во всех смыслах лучше смотреть снаружи)) Высокая широкая лестница, красивая колоннада, высокие окна. Архитектура класс, мне понравилась!

The Building in view is situated at near Sindh Assembly and it is a Art of Architect Engineering in Pakistan by the British Government in 1894 or near. I suggest the foreigners and history lovers to visit this building and appriciate the Historical building of High Court of Sindh.

The high ceilings, corridors, cross ventilation, air movement, acoustics all worth a study for young architects to create public buildings in low resource settings even today.

This is the structure where before and after partition of India into Pakistan and Bharat this place has been the Principal seat for Privy Council for Pakistan, thereafter Supreme Court of Pakistan. After separation of Pakistan into Pakistan and Bangladesh sometimes in early 70's the premises was declared as Principal seat of High Court of Sind at Karachi and branch registry of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The structure was completed 4 months before its date of completion and the cost was below the allocated budgeted amount.
