Tons of stuff on sale on the long street, from souvenirs and clothing to accessories and gadgets. You don’t get hassled here like you do in other countries which is also very pleasant. At the end of the street there is the big food court with tons of different options available for very cheap prices. Great for an evening meal for backpackers. Definitely recommend!

This is a good place for street food and dinner as well. We loved and enjoyed eating here after sightseeing.

The night market takes place every evening and has a great atmosphere. There are two parts to it - a food area, which is really lively, and other goods running along the length of the street. There are some nice things to buy at good prices and we did not find the sellers pushy.

Luang Prabang is now a mass tourist hell-hole... Full of scammers , junk sellers, overpriced everything, and thieves.

Auf geschätzt 500m findet man haufenweise Marktstände die Souvenirs anbieten. Klassischerweise Schals und sonstige Kleider. Viel interessanter ist der Food Markt und die etwas versteckten Street Kitchens neben dem Indigo Restaurant. Unbedingt dort essen gehen!

Very interesting market with goods displayed for both locals and visitors alike. Allow at least 1 hour (more is better) to walk the length of the market. Dollars are generally accepted as long as they are pristine.

Een op zich gezellige markt maar qua aanbod veel van hetzelfde. Elke tien meter lijkt een herhaling van kleding, houten spulletjes. Sieraden enz.
Het eetgedeelte is gezellig en doorgaans erg druk.

Netter Markt, mitten in der Stadt (täglich offen), aber vor allem das lokale Essen (street food, jeder Stand/Familie etwas anderes!…am food court) ist sehr zu empfehlen (und gut verträglich), spring rolls, local sausage… local beer (beer lao, 66cl-1€)… must go. Enjoy

The experience was a pleasure but do NOT eat the food. Even if you ignore the price, it is awful. I had 3 items, rubber chicken, tasteless khoi soi and worst of all allegedly fresh fruit, the pineapple was as hard as rock, the watermelon was past its expiration date and banana was fine. Certainly go to the market but don’t eat the food. My experience is what everyone I spoke with experienced.

How late does the market stay open? I’ve been looking at multiple websites and have seen closing time noted as 9:00, 10:00, 10:30 and 11:00.

Sorry for the late , late answer I have to say this is the first I,Ve heard of the question .
Also you may have already been to Luang Prabang if so I hope you enjoyed your visit we did.
For the record we left around the 8:30 pm so I'm not sure of the closing times .
I will return one day as our visit was four days not enough .
