we visited the shop after a trip to the TAEC museum and were impressed with the variety of beautiful handmade items in a wide variety of price points. we were also very impressed with their mission to ensure fair profits for the Lao craft makers. the focus on story-telling and attribution to the particular Lao people and region where each item came from made this a very special place to stock up on unique souvenirs for ourselves and folks back home.

We loved the wide variety of goods available here, mirroring the wonderful museum and gift shop in the town. The cards on each piece noting where the textiles/crafts were made and the specialty of that group of people was a wonderful addition. We brought home several things from here as gifts for friends and for ourselves! One of the best shops in town.

This shop is aligned to but not near the TAEC museum and so it has a good selection of tectiles and the other other appurtenances of a traditional Lao lifestyle. It is, therefore, a marvellous place to wander around. There is a lot of stock and it's a good place to buy gifts and souvenirs and be assured of their ethical provenance.

Visited both the TAEC museum and this shop. Wanted to get a scarf but the staff wasn't very friendly and seemed more keen on talking to white tourists. They have nice products but not as extensive as other shops like Ock or Matesai.. Staff at other places are friendlier too.

This store had very authentic and well made items from the region. The service was very good and also the quality of the goods.

Dopo aver visto l'esposizione sono passata in qs bel negozio sulla strada principale di Luang Prabang e ho trovato sciarpe, copricuscini, alcuni gioielli e runner molto belli a prezzi onesti considerando il lavoro che vi è dietro. E' tutto esposto con cura e il personale parla un buon inglese

Cute shop in town but would highly recommend the museum as you can learn lots more about the culture of Laos and the people in it.

Merchandizes in overall here have good designs and quality. Different from ones in night market. And of course, price is higher.
Anyway worth a visit. You can get a unique gift / souvenir from this place.

Une boutique dans la grande rue avec de belles matières. Beaucoup de créations originales....
Le musée Taec est également intéressant, petit mais très instructif.

Avec ses belles portes jaunes, on ne peut pas la louper sur la rue principale !
Mais bon ce n’est pas le principal : les produits joliment présentés sont fabriqués localement, et l’origine de chaque ethnie est précisée. Bien sûr c’est plus cher que les boutiques chinoises de la rue qui proposent leurs bouddhas industriels.
Heureusement, les boutiques de qualité se font plus nombreuses dans la ville.
J’adore les sacs et trousses de différents formats en filet de chanvre, c’est incroyablement résistant : j’en ai acheté un pour faire mes courses il y a 5 ans et il est toujours vaillant !
Cette boutique donne envie de visiter le musée des arts et traditions populaires, très pedagogique.
