Very loud with all the bars competing with their music. Some great bars and a lot of fun with all the lights too. Not too crowded when we were there Got offered weed multiple times which was a bit of a laugh. Lots of local families there also and you felt safe. Have the fish pedicures there. I think it depends on age group you are travelling with. Younger generation definitely enjoy it here.

We had read that a visit to Pub Street was a must when we were in Siem Reap. What a great fun place to be, especially on the night of the Khmer New Year. We were wondering why all the street stalls had a huge supply of water guns and talcum powder. We were told it was for the new year festivities held in Pub Street. IT WAS BRILLIANT!!! So much better than fireworks, friendly people, loud music and everyone hosing everyone down and covering faces with powder. It was so much fun and the locals were genuinely pleased to see visitors joining in and having fun. It is also great for restaurants and bars.

Siem Reap Pub Street is a lively and fun place to hang out at night. There are many bars, restaurants, and shops to choose from, and the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. You can enjoy live music, street food, and local beer, or just walk around and soak up the vibe. It's a great way to experience the nightlife of Cambodia.

Rue très animée avec une pléthore de restaurants, bars, magasins. Ce n'est pas vraiment ma tasse à thé. Je suis allée y faire un tour car c'est près de mon hôtel.

Quiet during the day and comes alive at night.
Traffic is blocked so people can walk safely. There are many restaurants, bars and stalls selling great food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
We really enjoyed it and would recommend a visit at night. Very safe and very clean.

This street closes off to traffic in the evening and is a feast of bars, restaurants and small shops. There are a huge variety of eating choices so there’s something for everyone, from Khmer, to Italian to Mexican etc. The rooftop and rolled ice cream options are great. You’ll need to bargain when shopping of course.

Many cities have areas like this but Pub Street in Siem Reap is just the right size with good mix of shops, plus local and western bars and restaurants. Besides the main pub street there are a lot of little side street for a more quiet experience. Location is close to night market for local street food and the usual selection of souvenirs.

Rather horrible area full of westerners and traffickers/pimps who come up to you asking whether you want "boom boom" and offering "young girls" if you are a man.
Had a drink and left the area as quick as we could. Was shocked to see that families were eating around here, would be scared if I had kids. I am sure there are some nice restaurants around but the government and police should be cracking down on this space.

Pub Street is lined with bars. During happy hour some sell draught beer for as low as US$0.50 a glass. Rest of the time, easy to find US$1-1.5 per glass Cocktails - expect to pay US$2.5 to 5 depending on the venue.

There seems to be 2 pub streets on the map of Siem reap , one called little pub street the other Kemer pub street.

Funny thing is, if you look up Pub street on Google, and look at the map, it is actually Street 08. But it is a cross road. If you continue over the bridge, that will take you to a night market.

Hello,
As far as I remember and if the place still there, there is a Scottish sport bar. Anyway is quite common today. So you will certainly find a sport bar over there.

My wife and i are going to be in Siem Reap before a Mekong River cruise in August , was wandering do we have to bring US dollars or can we bring Aussie dollars and change it there in to the local currency Riel, also how many days would we need to stay and do a few Temples , Markets and any Tours extra , what else can you do.

You should bring USD as it's a second and official currency in Cambodia. Bring small notes as most of the restaurants don't take 100 dollar bills.
I will suggest you to rent a Tuk Tuk (always bargain the price) for a day tour. One day pass which costs you 37USD is good enough or 3 days pass for 62 USD. And you can also do the floating market. The pub street and night market are popular. I stayed there for 4 days and I think it's pretty good. The Home Indochine D'Anglor hotel is pretty good.

Hi Cheamey,
No hotel with name "Pub street", but you can looking for hotels around Pub Street, Siem Reap
I stayed in the City Angkor Hotel. It was fine and offers an outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Have a nice trip!
