I booked with Rany for a 3-day private tour including transportation. When inquiring, he was very responsive to my e-mails. We wanted to avoid ticking boxes with regards to visiting sights and give time to explore properly. Rany was very flexible in terms of the itinerary and was able to adjust it as necessary. At the temples, he gave proper introduction and explained a brief history while going into details when necessary or when details are requested. His knowledge of the temples in terms of the history as well as what is on the ground now is excellent (e.g., while others skimmed through Ta Prohm, he revealed the secrets of this amazing temple). His explanations had the right level of detail and he was also very patient to answer any follow up questions. He also knew the best angles for taking photographs at each sight. Being a passionate photographer, he took superb photos of us at sights and provided them (thank you for the photos, Rany). We got a great tour as well as great photos.
I would highly recommend him and would definitely book again.

This was our second trip to Siem Reap, and we were so happy to have Rany again with us! Best guide, and photographer. Our group of friends also enjoyed a lot getting the best pictures done by Rany!!

It is truly an amazing 2 days of sightseeing with Rany. Me and my girlfriend made many happy memories that were recorded by his camera. Rany is also knowledgable about Hindu mythologies and Buddhism. His storytelling captivated us while showing us around the temples. There is so much to learn about Cambodian histories and a knowledgeable and experienced guide will greatly help.
Rany also helped us navigate pass the heavy flow of tourists and we end up getting a few of the temples to ourselves alone. As they say, a picture tells a thousand words. Throughout his clients' reviews, you can see the countless pictures he took and given freely. He also bought us local desserts off the street that tasted absolutely amazing and took the trouble to explain what are the ingredients that went into it. Small moments like this makes beautiful memories that lingers a lot longer. I can't recommend Rany enough if you are looking to engage a guide!

Thank you, Rany for being well knowledgeable on all the locations that my schoolmates and I went to. Thank you for making this trip an enjoyable and memorable one for the rest of us. He is also a great photographer and he took so many great photos during the trip. Thank you Rany 🙏🏾🙏🏾

My husband, my two teenaged sons and I visited Siem Reap recently. We were very fortunate to find Rany who not only helped us with chalking out our itinerary but also drove us everywhere in his comfortable car.
His knowledge about Cambodian history and geography are fantastic! We learnt so much from him as we drove together. What turned out to be a real bonus is that Rany is also an excellent photographer- he took some amazing photos in the most challenging locations (which the I-phone would’ve never managed to capture)
He also has a lovely sense of local food and habits - we enjoyed the fresh hand picked bananas he picked on our way to the Kulen mountain. He also got the holy monk to bless our family at the monastery and guided us through the ritual - truly unique experiences
His combination of historic Knowledge and ability to bring tourists close to nature and local people is what sets him apart from other guides who we also experienced in our trip. Our only regret is we met Rany on day 3 of our trip and wished we had met him on the very first day of our trip!
We would wholeheartedly recommend entrusting your holiday in Rany’s great hands! 🙏

My wife and I decided to book Rany for a 2 Tour of Angkor Wat. We are so happy we found him. So kind, so friendly and so knowledgeable. We love his story telling and you can tell he's extremely passionate and loves sharing his knowledge. Didnt realize until after we had booked, he is also a photographer. The pictures that he took of my wife and I will last forever. Better than any picture we could have taken with our phones. HIGHLY recommended.

Our guide Rany is an artist, he is the best to choose the right spots, everything he touches grow in beauty, he so told us so many stories with all the passion of a storyteller, made pictures also of us, we already forwarded to the family so beautiful they where. I thank Rany for everything he told us about the kmer culture and the sites we visited, the kings... all my best wishes for a long long life of guiding !

Wish I found this page earlier! Rany was super patient, kind, accommodating and knowledgeable. It's not easy to find a tour guide who's good at photography, or a photographer willing to spend a day being your tour guide, but Rany can do both. I would suggest booking in advance to secure your spot. As I contacted him on short notice and he was only available on my last day in Siem Reap (by which time I had already done the usual temple tours), we ended up just walking around taking pictures for a few hours. Got some great shots, he's clearly very passionate about photography and I would highly recommend him.

Our friends who had visited Angkor Wat pre-COVID highly recommended Rany, and we couldn’t be happier that we booked our tour with him. He is an expert guide, with deep knowledge of the history and culture of the region. In addition, he is a very kind, upbeat and clearly very talented person. It was a genuine pleasure to spend the day with him. He has an air conditioned car and picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. He had plenty of cold water for us throughout the day. Our tour was well paced, and he pointed out many interesting details that we would have missed without him. In addition to getting a wonderful tour, you also get an incredible photographer when you book with Rany. Wow. He has an amazing eye for light, and we will treasure the photos he took of us on our honeymoon. It is obvious that Rany loves what he does, and that makes the experience even better. Hello, how long are Ranys tours? Are they only for the Ankor temples or does he show other places around Siem Reap as well? And what does he charge. We are two people that want to see Siem Reap and Ankor. We have 3 days.

Sorry that I’m a little late on the answer but I echo the sentiments expressed by others. Rany can set you up with a great tour over a couple of days, as well as for a single day. I had a great time with him, and highly recommend his services.

We are a party of 10+ adults and will be in Siem Reap in mid January 2017 for 6d/5n. We are interested in visiting: Angkor Wat; Floating Village; Tonle Sap; Le Artisan; Old Market; Elephant ride; Balloon Ride; Banteay Sambre; Rolous Group; Kulen Mountain and also the Phare Circus. Please provide us with a quote. This will be a private tour. What type of van/bus will be provided? air conditioned? We need airport transfer both ways. We will make our own hotel arrangement.

Hey, we are English speaking and would like an informative tour of the small circle temples on the 13/08/16 to be there for sunrise- how much would this cost? Would a tuktuk be included in the price? How many hours would be spent there? Thanks!

Rany charged us about $75 USD for the whole day including sunrise, air-conditioned van, bottled cold water, and some awesome photo-taking :)
His command of the English language is good and he is a very sincere and knowledgeable guide. Definitely good to have him as your guide :)
