I actually planned my trip to Jiuzhagou and Huanglong, leaving from Chengdu, in October, but the Covid got me first so I had to change plan. I decided to hire a car with driver for Dagu Glacier and Bipeng Valley in November instead. The trip was fantastic and I'm not disappointed. Mr. Xu, the driver, did a good job driving and taking care of me, buying me park tickets, ordering food, and giving me some advice for the park visit. Dagu is amazing as the cable car takes care of the climbing for you, but do not overestimate and exert yourself as the oxygen level is so low due to high elevation, almost 5 km! Bipenggou is spectacular, reminding me of my favorite place on earth, Yading. Although it may be a bit smaller in scale perhaps, but it's much easier to get to, with the new and modern highway. Kudos to China for making it easier to access Western Sichuan! BTW, many thanks to Lily Chen from WestChinaGo for helping to accommodate this trip for me.

I had booked this from Europe with two flights - first one was heavily delayed and I ended up flying into a different airport in the city. The limousine service Managed to have a driver at my final destination at the right time in spite of all the changes and did not charge me anymore. Great service.

Fifi was such an amazing tour guide!! Having a private van for just our family of 4 made the day so enjoyable. On our own timeline we had a great time touring the Panda sanctuary. The drive to Leshan was long but we rested and got more cultural info from Fifi. Lunch in Leshan was AMAZING and the buddha was so inspiring. Highly recommend Fifi and her team!!

This was the best day of my life!! If I could rate this higher I would. My guide was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the pandas as well as the showing a care for them as well, and an amazing photographer as well!! She is amazing and even gave suggestions on what to see in the city as well!! Absolutely fantastic would highly recommend that everyone wanting to see the pandas do this

It was a splendid trip and as a foreigner I must say that the help and support of supervisor were incredible. Everything became very easy with her help. The driver was very nice, took us to the parks, waited us all day long and also was very supportive. The places definitely worth seeing! Though I traveled a lot, I really enjoyed what I’ve seen!

中国での個人手配旅行は、外国人への様々な制限などがある場合があったり、事前予約など分かりにくいローカルルールがあり、現地に行ってみて困ることが多々あるのだが、限られた機会のリスクを少なくするためにここに頼んだ。安い現地ツアー会社だか、英語でのきめ細かいサポートあり中国語が分からなくても安心してお任せできる。タクシーなどいちいち煩わしい値段交渉する必要がないし、リーズナブルな値段設定。アドバイスも事前にもらえるし、当日もWechat でタイムリーなサポートもらえ、困り事を解決してくれて大いに助かった。

Our driver was informative and very helpful. She recommended us various restaurants to eat and places we could shop at. We were not able to use any forms of payment that is accepted in Hainan, except cash. Though we could use cash, we needed WeiXin or Alipay to pay for the entrance tickets to tourist attractions. Fortunately, our driver was very kind and used WeiXin to help us pay for them, and she accepted cash as a form of payment when we paid her back. She was very friendly and we found it easy to chit-chat with her. We had a good time!

We loved our tour with WestChinaGo and could not have taken it on our own. Lily was extremely helpful and friendly. We got to know her well and she was very easy to talk with as a friend. I was travelling on my own in China with my 3 boys so this tour was a definite highlight for us. We loved staying overnight in the Temple. The feeling was magical. Waking up to drumming and chanting in the early morning made us feel very so peaceful. It was a great experience and I would certainly take it again.

Fi-Fi was amazing and so fun! My teenagers loved her! We would not have managed to fit everything into one day, or have figured out the transportation on our own.
The arrangements were smooth and painless. Our guide and drivers were on time and very knowledgable. We were at the panda base early and managed to spend almost an hour alone with one panda who showed off for us. Fi-Fi managed to navigate us to the best spots at the park and we were out of here before it got too busy.
The Leshan Buddha was awe inspiring, but I enjoyed the train trip seeing some chinese country side even more.

Hi Lily, I will be in Chengdu for a layover on June 24 from 7pm to June 25 7pm (flight time). Is this enough time to do the Dujiangyan Panda Base volunteer/photo AND the Leshan Giant Buddha? I really want to see both. Also, will the Dujiangyan Panda Base be doing the panda photos in June? I emailed through the website but no response.

The volunteer day at Dujiangyan is from 7am to about 4-5pm. I’m not sure where the Giant Buddha is but take the above times into account. The volunteer option is a great way to get photos feeding the pandas but there is no longer an option for the side-by-side photo. The government outlawed this activity.

It did reopen earlier this year but is now once again temporarily closed as of July 1, 2018 due to heavy rainfall, etc. Also entry is apparently restricted to tour groups only, maximum number of tickets sold each day is 2,000. No individual entry permitted. You should check the park's official website (Chinese) for updates. Due to TripAdvisor posting guidelines I can't post the URL, sorry.

Me and my girlfriend are coming to Chengdu from 1st April to 3rd. We would like to feed and hold a panda on the 2nd April at the Dujiangyan Panda Base . Is this available/ Also how do the prices work. The money we pay here is for the transportation and enterance fee, including the medical form?
Of course we have to pay the 1800 rmb to take a photo, but does this include holding the panda?

1) if you want to feed panda, you have to join in the panda volunteer program, whose price is 700 RMB/person, do you confirm?
2)Panda Photo: yes 1800 RMB/person,usually panda is about 1 year old, not small baby panda, you can't hold, you can sit aside, and your hand around the panda
3)Volunteer and Photo , both need healthy report, you don't worry this, let us to finish, if you choose us car service, this part(healthy report and reservation fee) for free
4)Charter Car:round trip, hotel pick up and drop off within chengdu 3 ring road.

We are in Chengdu next week and are interested in a day trip to Leshan and to the top of Mt. Emei. Is this feasible using the high speed train? Likely 6 members including three Chinese speaking.

Hi,it is doable, but you need to take the earliest train to Mt.Emei,however,the time is very tight,I recommend you to spend 2 days in Mt.Emei+Buddha.In this way,you will really enjoy the sites,not just come and go.
