‪Musée très diversifié et intéressant: des vidéos, des photos, des témoignages pour mieux comprendre le conflit armé en Colombie de différents points de vue. Beaucoup d'oeuvres très émouvantes et représentatives de la douleur qu'a procuré le conflit aux colombiens.

‪In visita a Medellin questo piccolo museo dedicato alla memoria di questa città è della Colombia.Si rivive la storia tragica,i sacrifici e la forza di un popolo a lottare e risollevarsi fino a raggiungere la libertà di oggi l'ingresso è libero,un paio d'ore ben spese.‬

‪Interesting museum‬

‪I am glad that this museum exhibits, as it helps people understand Medellin”a history and has several exhibits that talk about the past. The museum itself is free and you just need to fill out a Google form (either on your phone through a QR code or on the provided computer) Some of the exhibits have English translations but not all of them. They did have an audio guide to go with the museum but it is on an app that you have to download. Unfortunately when we went there, the museum wifi was down and the app was taking awhile to download using data, so we ended up giving up on downloading it and experienced what we could.. My suggestion is that if you know you’d like to visit this museum, definitely download the app in your hotel when wifi speeds will be faster and you don’t have to wait.‬

‪Interesting, but you need to speak Spanish to totally participate‬

‪I wanted to like this more than I did. It is free to enter, and it is quite educational, but most of the exhibition is completely in Spanish with no English translation. It is pretty small. The neighborhood around seemed quite dangerous, with lots of vagrant people openly using drugs right next to the museum the people who worked inside, seem to mostly like college students, and they were very helpful.‬

‪Great museum - but check the wifi is working if you’re an English speaker ‬

‪A great museum but the wifi wasn’t working for the audio tour, which is a drawback if you aren’t a fluent Spanish speaker because most of the descriptions are in Spanish. The English descriptions aren’t particularly informative or factual, more telling you what to think and feel. That said, the videos are brilliant, the storyboards and photos are very powerful, and it is all expertly laid out.‬

‪A very personal history of Medellin‬

‪A personal telling of the stories by the people who lived through violent and troubling times. Through interactive screens the many displays show and tell the visitor the history of Medellin since 1950, and how the political classes , and subsequently the drug lords, controlled the population. Though most of the information is in Spanish there is enough translated materials to make this a very worthwhile visit.‬

‪To know more about the history of conflict in Colombia‬

‪Very interesting visit, especially hearing from the victims, analysts and politicians (on the big svreens) about their experience dealing with the long nature of the conflict in Colombia. There is a lot of information, so it takes almost 2 hours to go through it. I give 4 stars as the area and just outside the museum was very dodgy and a guy almost robbed us while we were waiting an uber. Better order and wait at the entrance where the security guard is.‬

‪Das Museum / Gedenkhaus liegt nicht gerade im besten Quartier von Medellin, nicht erschrecken.
Der Eintritt ist frei, man soll sich aber registrieren (Herkunft)
Das Museum ist zu 90% auf spanisch und noch einwenig englisch. Ich denke Leute die das Museum besuchen haben aber ein gewisses Vorwissen über die blutige und gewalttätige Vergangenheit von Kolumbien und speziell des Bundesstaates Antioquia.
Äusserst aufwühlend und niederschmetternd, keine Filter… nichts für Kinder. Da die Fotos und Filme keine Übersetzung brauchen.‬

‪Limited experience for English speakers‬

‪Most of the exhibitions in the main room are in Spanish only so I wouldn’t recommend this to English speakers. There is an app you can download which describes some of the exhibitions in English but overall this was limited.‬
