Very large boardwalk with so much to do. There’s beach access, Hotel access, shopping and food. We walked a little of it but it extends for miles.

As a long-time resident of NJ who just recently moved away, I can't believe how much the shops on the boardwalk have deteriorated. The boardwalk itself and the beach are still worth visiting. Clean beaches with easy access. But the shops need an overhaul. The musty smell is noticeable even before you enter. Since the casino hotels are so enjoyable, I would hope that they would help the establishments upgrade their merchandise and buildings.

Dirty with shady people. Not a good place to visit. Drugs and crime are a daily thing. Not safe unless in a Hotel.

Boardwalk is very outdated with old stores many of which still don’t have air conditioners. Everything, what is further down the Tropicana, looks abandoned. Too many certain kind of people hanging around. Sometimes it’s scary to walk after the dusk. The boardwalk tram service ends up at 9pm. You will be lucky if you catch the last one after 9pm. With people paying $10 for a day rides and who plan to go to a night concerts could be a dilemma how to return back to the hotel if your hotel is far enough to walk.

I came to Atlantic City Boardwalk about ten years ago. They cleaned it up a lot compared to ten years ago. There are shops and restaurants, and on the pier, there is a small amusement park with some thrilling rides. I biked the boardwalk from one end to the other, and it was safe and about 10 KM long. The beach in this area is lovely. I was amazed.

Lots of activities for young children. We went on the Ferris Wheel and watched the fireworks. It is very expensive so be prepared to spend money.

I came to New Jersey for a wedding and decided to take my wife and daughter over to AC for a couple days while down here. It's a shame because there is so much to do here. So many great places and it could be a great place. But it's really trashy. With 10 minutes of walking on the boardwalk with my wife and daughter we had some lady harassing us for money. Literally following us and cursing us out because we said we didn't. The whole boardwalk is full of homeless, drug addicts and just sketchy. My daughter didn't feel comfortable. The whole place is just trash. I won't go back and just a shame because there's some great places down there and alot of fun to be had. The city really needs to clean it up, have more of a police presence and disperse some of these ppl constantly harassing tourists.

I have been going to Atlanta city for the last 30 years. I loved the ocean. Boardwalk and restaurants. The last couple of years the boardwalk has been really dirty and run down. There are a lot of homeless people. People leave litter on the beach, I would like to see improvements now that Covid is over and people are back to work. People need to care about the environment and clean up after themselves. I will continue to go to the Jersey Shore as I have great memories there.

Not bad at all. So much better than point pleasant. Pretty clean. Lots of marijuana smoking but thats normal everywhere it seems these days.

Atlantic City has great potential with boardwalk, nice casinos, beach, historic buildings, distance from large cities. But this was as scary a place to be when the sun goes down of any place I have personally been outside of a San Pedro Sula Honduras at night.

I honestly don't know for sure. I did not see a single dog when I was down there.

Hi wondering if anyone can tell me how crowded the beaches are and if people are trying to social distance. Will be staying at the Showboat-last year when we were there it was a narrow strip of beach and I'm wondering if it will be too crowded. Thank you

Hello. We were there at end of June 2020. Not crowded at all. Alot of people wearing masks. And we saw no issues with Social distancing. The beach area has different sections with more or less people. Saw alot of families with young children. Just find a beach area you would be comfortable with. You might want to go on beach early before the crowds and heat. Stay safe and healthy.

Hello. I have not been home in awhile. Are there any shops or restaurants open on the boardwalk? I'm aware of social distancing and COVID restrictions.

There are a few restaurants that have outdoor and takeaway dining. The casinos are not yet open but there is talk soon other things will be open - the Boardwalk is open and the beach
