‪Amazing items with craft fully & systematically arranged.
Some of the items are awesome as lady marble statue with veil, one side man & back side woman, some rare artifacts, weapons, cloths, utensils, crockery and so on.
Little tiring as to see all items you have to spend more than 5 to 6 hrs.
One should visit & spend quality time.‬

‪Salar Jung museum is a private collection/museum. It showcases over 43000 artefacts/collectibles from different corners of the world from different centuries. The museum was nationalized in 1960's. The collector was a minister to the Nizam of Hyderabad. It's a neat museum but hiring a guide gives you a better insight. There's no record of the source of collection, details are missing. Overall a great place to visit.‬

‪WHAT A MAGNIFICIENT COLLECTION !!!!!! ONE MUST VISIT

The collection - treasures from both India and international items - is beyond words to describe and speaks a lot about the love for art and culture of this Salar Jung family. Visitors need to thank the Family for allowing public display of the same.

A visit by a tourist to Hyderabad is incomplete if this museum is not visited at leisure.

Though there is no audio guide available, there is App based guide. Tourists need to download App and connect using available code. As WiFi may not be easily available, tourists must buy WiFi available on this App based guide.

One needs at least 4 to 5 hours to view all exhibits at ese and listening to the guide.

The museum has water fountains and rest rooms of good standard. The museum also has food court.‬

‪A very well maintained museum. The ticket prices are very less just Rs 50 for adults and Rs 20 for children. They are charging 50 rs per mobile which I feel is fine.
The museum is well organized with different rooms on a separate level.
The main attraction is the veiled Rebecca and Cuckoo clock. They have provided a floor map on each ticket which is kind of helpful. They have a food court which has a lot of food items and it is required since one can spend the whole day in this museum.
For kids there is a lot of learning going through each room and I can see the excitement in the kids faces. The museum houses unique collections of art and collectibles from around the world.‬

‪Yes, it’s busy, but it has so many aspects of Hyderbadi history. Many treasures of exquisite design from delicately decorated jewel boxes, to gory weapons, crystal ware and a fascinating collection of coins. Rooms may be noisy but just wait a few minutes and they usually empty‬

‪I could spend an entire day here. It’s filled with amazing parts of history and all types of information about Hyderabad. Sadly, it was quite messy to follow the audio guide that was over 1GB and unless you download it beforehand- you are going to find it hard to load the content. (The free wifi doesn’t work and I was using roaming data!)

There were also a lot of people including kids and students so everyone was packed in the exhibits’ rooms together. No ventilation so bring a mask!

Recommend going at off peak times and plan before visiting.‬

‪This is great collection of many artifacts, art items collectibles over the world. It is enriching experience to see many types of art especially ivory, children collection, Statues, clocks any many many things. It has 2 blocks eastern (Where you will see Chinese, Japaneses and eastern artifacts), central where there are various sections like ivory, arms, clocks etc and westerns. On the ticket there is small map and collections are listed. It is very much walk and you get tired in 5-6 sections only. If you are tight on time or kids are tired then before starting select the sections you want to cover, arms, toys, children, clock, invory are very interesting which kids also enjoy. You can do selective round else you can do for the whole muesum. Go early so you get some time to see read and take pictures as well. If you have big group then it becomes very difficult so plan accordingly. Please do spend at least 2 hours for quick tour or 4 hours for whole museum. Go only you are museum kind of person.‬

‪The first impression of the museum was disappointing, the building is badly maintained and everything looked dusty and uncared for. However, the collection was amazing, especially given that it was the collection of an individual. The ‘Veiled Rebecca’ marble sculpture was everything that one had read about - truly a wonder the way the ‘veil’ was sculpted. Some very beautiful pieces in the Asian galleries. The Indian bronzes, miniatures seemed neglected and did not tell a story - that was the sad part in the entire museum - the display, the narration, yes, one could scan and hear the audio, but again not well set up and maintained. One did not expect a whole gallery dedicated to walking sticks!
Having said all this, please go and visit. . ‬
