While staying in Hyderabad for 2 months, we looked for a place to dance that had a wood floor, being choreographed ballroom dancers. It is extremely hard to find dance locations to practice or learn here. We found Steps Dance Studio and it's owner, Raj, who came to be a valued friend. Not only were we able to rent the floor space to practice, but we attended Zumba class here and enjoyed doing both. Steps has a nice website to tell you about it, so visit the site or give Raj a call. He also stays busy organizing and producing dance productions for the city/state government, promoting dance and arts development in India, and traveling to New York to teach and to continue pursuing his own dance education. In a town/country where dancing is not the norm, this is a great discovery. While the floor space is small by American standards, the sound system is good, walls are mirrored or windowed, hospitality is great, and classes nice. Steps specializes is hip hop and jazz dance, bringing international instructors to the studio for workshops on a regular basis. Go dance or learn here!
